“Not every child learns the same way.
Not every child communicates the same way.
But every child deserves to be loved the same way.” 🩵🧩

Another episode of sudden waking and interrupted sleep.

He fell asleep around 11 PM, had a seizure shortly after, his eyes blinking rapidly and his hands moving for a few seconds. woke up around 12 AM, followed by a meltdown, and didn’t settle back to sleep until around 5 AM.

Sabi ng developmental pediatrician this can be common in children on the autism spectrum and has recommended an EEG (Electroencephalogram) to further understand what’s happening.

Sharing this not just to document our journey, but also in case other parents are going through something similar. 🩵🧩

They may only see his disability,
but as his parents, we see his different ability.

We see his true potential, his strength, and his heart.
We don’t just hope for awareness, we hope for acceptance, so others can see him for who he truly is, a child, someone who deserves love, respect, and understanding.

See the child.
See the joy.
See the love.

Aidan is both sensory seeker and avoider 🩵🧩

Some children seek more… some need less.

What looks like “too much energy” or “being fussy” is often something deeper — a nervous system trying to find balance. Some children move, crash, and touch everything because their body needs more input. Others withdraw, cover their ears, or avoid situations because it all feels too overwhelming.

When we understand sensory needs, behaviour starts to make sense. And when behaviour makes sense, we can support instead of correct.
