Every successful immunization campaign begins with thorough planning.

Today, the DOH Bicol Center for Health Development visited Barangay Cararayan Health Center as part of the MR-SIA preparedness assessment. The monitoring focused on our microplanning, budget allocation, logistics, and implementation strategies to ensure that all components are ready for the upcoming Measles-Rubella Supplemental Immunization Activity.

We appreciate the technical guidance provided by the DOH team as we continue working together to deliver safe, efficient, and high-quality immunization services for every eligible child.

Today, Barangay Cararayan was honored with the 4th Place Award in the City Outstanding Barangay Nutrition Committee Search in recognition of its sustained exemplary implementation of the Philippine Plan of Action for Nutrition (PPAN) through City Population & Nutrition Office (CPNO)

Two important health services, one meaningful day! 💙💗

Last Saturday, July 25, 2026, Barangay Cararayan successfully conducted a simultaneous Diabetes Awareness Activity with BMC doctors and HPV Vaccination for girls aged 9–14 years.

The successful implementation of Operation Timbang Plus (OPT Plus) in Barangay Cararayan was led by our dedicated Barangay Nutrition Scholar (BNS) and Supplemental Feeding Volunteers (SFVs). Through their commitment and hard work, children aged 0–59 months were assessed to determine their nutritional status, providing essential data for nutrition planning and timely interventions to improve child health in the barangay.

Based on the latest Operation Timbang Plus Nutrition Database, the majority of children assessed were found to have normal weight (2,000), reflecting the continued efforts of families and health workers in promoting proper nutrition.

However, the assessment also identified 6 overweight, 19 underweight, 12 severely underweight, 13 stunted, and 19 severely stunted children. These findings emphasize the importance of sustained nutrition programs, regular growth monitoring, nutrition education, and targeted interventions for children who require additional support.

Barangay Cararayan Health Center remains committed to working closely with the Barangay Nutrition Scholar (BNS), Supplemental Feeding Volunteers (SFVs), parents, and community partners to ensure that every child receives appropriate nutrition services and has the opportunity to grow healthy, active, and reach their full developmental potential.

The Barangay Cararayan Health Center, in coordination with the Barangay Council for the Protection of Children (BCPC), presents the summary of the children and youth population (0–18 years old) in Barangay Cararayan.

This database serves as an important reference in planning and implementing health, nutrition, immunization, adolescent health, and other child-focused programs and services. Accurate population data enables the Health Center and its partners to identify priorities, allocate resources effectively, and ensure that no child is left behind.

Yesterday, Cararayan Health Center joined the coordination efforts for Medical Mission for Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) in Barangay Cararayan.

We extend our appreciation to the Barangay Government of Cararayan for initiating this activity c/o Chairman Committee on Social Development Kgd.
