PUBLIC HEALTH ADVISORY
Conjunctivitis (Sore Eyes)

The Provincial Health Office of Negros Oriental is monitoring increasing cases of sore eyes in some areas. Here’s what you need to know:

👁️ Signs & Symptoms: Red/pink eyes, watery discharge, itching, sticky eyelids, swelling

🧼 Prevent it: Wash hands often, avoid touching/rubbing eyes, do NOT share towels or personal items

🏠 Stay home if you have symptoms. Seek medical advice if it worsens.

💡You CANNOT get sore eyes just by looking at someone.

Let’s stay vigilant and keep our communities safe!

❤️ HEART-TO-HEART TALK at
BARANGAY DATAGON❤️

Empowering our youth with the right knowledge and guidance!

Today, our Grade 6 learners from Datagon Elementary School, together with their adviser Ma'am Nila Grace Ladion, joined the HEART-to-Heart Talk — a meaningful program under the Commission on Population and Development (CPD).

This session was graced by our guest speaker, Ma'am Camila Caminade, who shared essential insights on adolescent health, responsible decisions, and well-being under the H.E.A.R.T. framework.

This initiative was organized and led by our very own Municipal Health Officer Dr. Beth Nemiajoy Catacutan, PopCom Officer Ma. Victoria Ramirez, and our dedicated Public Health Nurses. We are also thankful for the presence and support of the Kagawad on Health Hon. Maricel Alabo, Barangay Captain Hon. Melgin Gara, the Barangay Council, Datagon BHS personnel, Barangay Tanods, our Sanitary Inspector and volunteers who joined hands for this worthy cause.

Together, we build a healthier, safer, and brighter future for the young people of Pamplona, Negros Oriental. ✨

Let’s continue working hand-in-hand to guide our children toward a healthy, safe, and bright future! 💛

🦟 DENGUE PREVENTION: ALAMIN AT GAWIN PARA SA KALIGTASAN NG LAHAT

Dengue is preventable — and we can stop it together! Here are the simple but vital steps we must all follow:

✅ PROTECT YOURSELF FROM MOSQUITO BITES

• Apply insect repellent regularly

• Put screens on doors and windows

• Wear long-sleeved shirts and long pants especially during early morning and late afternoon

• Use mosquito nets while sleeping

✅ SEARCH AND DESTROY MOSQUITO BREEDING SITES

• Clean and scrub water containers once a week

• Flip over cans, bottles, tires, and anything that can collect water

• Clear roof gutters and trash areas where water may gather

✅ KNOW THE WARNING SIGNS
High fever, pain behind the eyes, headache, body/joint pain, rashes, and vomiting — these are common signs of dengue.

⚠️ ACT FAST: If you or a family member experience these symptoms, go to the nearest health facility immediately! Early consultation saves lives.

Let’s keep our homes, schools, and communities safe. No mosquitoes = no dengue
