“Love letters” from patients like these really make my day. 😂💌

There are days when being a doctor can be exhausting, but messages like these make me stop and think… Okay, maybe I’m doing something right. 🥹

Knowing that a patient felt safe, heard, and cared for—especially during moments when they were scared—means more to me than they probably realize.

Posting this here not to brag, but so that years from now, I can look back and remember these sweet little notes and the people who reminded me why I chose this profession. 🥹💌 Something for future me to read on the difficult days. ❤️

Patient: you looked seasoned sa picture. Pero bata pa man diay ka.

I've been told comments similar to this before, but until now it still makes me feel weird. Should I be happy kay murag bata pa man ko or low key sad kasi I look like a not "seasoned" doctor?

Just saw this patient yesterday. Ndi pa sana siya magpaultrasound kasi consult lang raw, but upon talking to her.. she had episodes na na ng occasional hypogastric pain, and in the background of a positive pregnancy test.. I was already suspicious of an ectopic pregnancy. so I strongly advised ultrasound. AND LO AND BEHOLD... it's a VERY LARGE interstitial ectopic pregnancy. Buhay rin ang baby at 10 weeks and 5 days. Good thing ndi pa nagrupture and nakita agad on ultrasound. This could easily take the mothers life IF not diagnosed early.

So please, any pain lalo na sa 1st trimester.. don't take it for granted.
Have it checked. Remember, not all pregnancies are the same
