As part of the National Hospital Week 2026 Celebration, the Centennial Zumba Bida brought out the rhythm, confidence, and creativity of our individual performers.

Each participant took the spotlight and gave their own unique performance, making the afternoon even more exciting and enjoyable. The activity was a wonderful opportunity to move, have fun, and celebrate wellness together with the WVSGH family.

As part of the National Hospital Week 2026 Celebration, the WVSGH Run 100: Centennial Run brought together our hospital family for a morning of movement, fun, and camaraderie.

From the early morning assembly to the 3K and 5K categories, our employees and participants showed that celebrating wellness can be as simple as getting up, moving, and enjoying the moment together.

Western Visayas Sanitarium and General Hospital recently conducted its 2-Day Ex*****on Planning for 2027, bringing together the Medical Center Chief, Executive Committee, Division Heads, Department and Unit Heads, Program Coordinators, Revenue Centers, and concerned personnel, initiated by the Planning Officer and Finance Management Service Head, Maria Mhee Magnifico with the Budget Unit staff.

The two-day activity transformed the 2024โ€“2028 strategic directions, March 2026 Strategy Refresh, June 2026 Strategy Review, and sustaining a Level II 200-bed license to operate into priorities, deliverables, resources, and actions for 2027.
More than planning the budget, this is about putting resources where they matter mostโ€”toward safe, quality, responsive, and patient-centered healthcare. Every peso planned and every program prioritized should ultimately create value for the patients and communities we serve.

The outputs of this activity will serve as a key input to the 2027 Budget Call and budget deliberations, ensuring that our proposed resources are aligned with our strategic priorities and expected results.

On August 12, 2026, Western Visayas Sanitarium and General Hospital welcomed Regional Director Mar Wynn D. Bello, whose visit aimed to assess service quality and strengthen healthcare partnerships. RD Bello, along with our OIC Medical Center Chief, Dr. Stephanie A. Abello, and the Hospital Executive Committee, inspected key areas such as the Main Hospital, Emergency Room, OPD / BUCAS Center, and Leprosy Ward to ensure continuous improvement in patient care.

More than an official visit, it was a meaningful encounter that fostered trust and confidence, as RD Bello engaged with patients, listened to their experiences, and observed WVSGHโ€™s service delivery, firsthand.

His visit exemplified leadership rooted in compassion and understanding of both patient and staff experiences. It reinforced that our hospital's mission extends beyond treatment to restoring hope, upholding dignity, and delivering ethical, patient-centered care aligned with our core values.
