Achievement unlocked. But more than that—tables turned.
Life has a way of humbling you before it elevates you. There were seasons of quiet work, unanswered questions, exhaustion, self-doubt, and moments when the weight of responsibility felt heavier than the dream.
And then, somehow, the tables turn.
What once felt distant becomes reality. Doors you once only prayed for begin to open.
The rooms you once hoped to enter become spaces where your name is called.
Receiving the Smith Surgical International Scholarship at Fairmont Georgetown, Washington, D.C. feels like one of those moments.
A reminder that hard work matters, but so do grace, timing, and faith.
I carry deep gratitude—for every mentor who guided me, every patient who trusted me, every challenge that shaped me, and every setback that quietly prepared me.
Sometimes the turning of tables isn’t about proving people wrong.
Sometimes, it’s about God showing you what was possible all along.
Still taking this in. Grateful beyond words.
