The University of Cagayan Valley (UCV) successfully concluded the Blood Olympics 2026, September 3, 2026, at the CVP Function Hall, VVP Campus.
The activity was spearheaded by the Research, Planning, Development, and Extension Office (RPDEO) under the leadership of Dr. Ronnie E. Pasigui and Dr. Glen Cagurangan, in strong partnership with the Cagayan Valley Medical Center (CVMC).
The Blood Olympics 2026 aimed to promote voluntary blood donation and raise awareness on the importance of sharing blood to save lives. The activity was actively participated in by students, faculty, and non-teaching personnel from different colleges and departments who selflessly donated blood as an act of compassion and solidarity.
The Health and Food Services Office extended full support during the activity through assistance in donor screening, vital signs taking, and monitoring of donors to ensure their safety and well-being before and after blood donation.
This significant undertaking reaffirms the University of Cagayan Valleyβs unwavering commitment to community service, social responsibility, and health advocacy. Through initiatives like this, UCV continues to instill the values of volunteerism, bayanihan, and genuine care for others.
The University extends its sincerest gratitude to the Cagayan Valley Medical Center (CVMC) Blood Bank Team, RPDEO, faculty, staff, student volunteers, and most especially to all voluntary blood donors who made this activity a success.
One blood donation can save up to three lives. Together, let us continue to share blood, share life.
Mabuhay ang UCV! Mabuhay ang mga bayaning blood donors!
