In the Philippines, the most common way Hepatitis B spreads is from mother to baby. ๐Ÿ’›

That's why every newborn is meant to get the Hepatitis B vaccine within 24 hours of birth. It's a simple step that can prevent a lifetime of liver disease.

Expecting? Ask about the birth dose. Tag a parent who needs to hear this.

You can't catch Hepatitis B from a shared desk or a shared meal. ๐Ÿ’›

The myth that you can, fuels stigma, and stigma stops people from getting tested.

Spread facts, not fear. People living with Hepatitis B deserve support, not judgment.

World Hepatitis Day 2026 | Cebu City Community Forum

What a remarkable celebration of World Hepatitis Day 2026!

Yesterday, July 26, 2026, nearly 100 participants gathered at SM Seaside City Cebu for a meaningful community event dedicated to raising awareness and promoting the early detection of viral hepatitis.

The activity featured a Lay Forum on Hepatitis, FREE Hepatitis B and C screening, and FREE Liver FibroScan examinations, providing the public with valuable education and access to essential liver health services. The enthusiastic participation from the community highlights the growing awareness of the importance of hepatitis prevention, early diagnosis, and timely treatment.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our local gastroenterologists in Cebu for their invaluable support and dedication in organizing and conducting this successful event. Their commitment to improving liver health in the community made this initiative possible.

Congratulations as well to the Hepatology Society of the Philippines for another outstanding World Hepatitis Day celebration. Through collaborative efforts like these, we move closer to our shared goal of eliminating viral hepatitis as a public health threat and ensuring that more Filipinos have access to life-saving education, screening, and care.

Together, letโ€™s continue to break it downโ€”breaking barriers to awareness, screening, and treatment, one community at a time.

A silent epidemic is hiding in plain sight. ๐Ÿ’›

Around 1 in 10 Filipino adults has Hepatitis B, and most don't know it. It's the leading cause of liver cancer and cirrhosis in the country.

The fix starts simple: get tested.

Tag someone and remind them. B Tested. B Vaccinated. B Treated.

Hepatitis: Let's break it down. ๐Ÿ’›

This World Hepatitis Day (July 28), the message is simple: we can prevent, diagnose early and manage hepatitis.

So what's holding us back? Low awareness, stigma, and barriers to access.

Viral hepatitis is one of the world's deadliest communicable diseases, and the Philippines is one of the hardest hit, with around 1 in 10 Filipinos living with chronic Hepatitis B.

Let's break down the barriers together. B Tested. B Vaccinated. B Treated.

Save this and share it. ๐Ÿ’›
