Gowers's Sign is a medical sign that indicates weakness of the proximal muscles, namely those of the lower limb. The sign describes a patient that has to use their hands and arms to "walk" up their own body from a squatting position due to lack of hip and thigh muscle strength.

Gowers's sign is classically seen in Duchenne muscular dystrophy where it is mostly evident at 4–6 years old children.

Finkelstein’s test is the classic provocative test for diagnosis of De Quervain’s disease.

De Quervain's Tenosynovitis is a painful, inflammatory condition caused by tendons on the side of the wrist at the base of the thumb.

Pain is the main complaint, gets worse with abduction of the thumb, a grasping action of the hand, and an ulnar deviation of the wrist.
