From Awareness to Action 🌱
It was a pleasure to see the IMIG SMC team take diabetes awareness beyond the classroom and into the community through their second Diabetes Awareness Session at Leading Star School.
The session focused on helping students understand diabetes, the importance of healthy lifestyle choices, prevention, and the value of awareness from an early age — presented in a simple, engaging and relatable way.
As Patron-in-Chief of IMIG SMC, I am truly proud to see our students taking such meaningful initiatives and recognising that medical education is not limited to hospitals and lecture halls. Our responsibility as future healthcare professionals is also to educate, empower and serve our communities.

Honoured to have delivered the Inaugural Session at the 12th Mid-Summer Endocrine Updates 2026 organized by the Pakistan Endocrine Society.
My presentation, "Pituitary Masses Requiring Surgery: Pre- and Postoperative Endocrine Assessment," focused on the critical role of endocrinologists in the multidisciplinary management of pituitary adenomas—from comprehensive hormonal evaluation before surgery to long-term postoperative care and surveillance.
It was a privilege to address such an engaged audience and contribute to an academic forum dedicated to advancing endocrine practice through evidence-based discussions and collaboration.
My sincere gratitude to the Pakistan Endocrine Society, the organizing committee, colleagues, and all participants for making this event a great success.
Together, we continue to strengthen endocrine education and improve patient care.

An inspiring start to the CARE Certificate Course!
Honoured to have delivered a talk on "Anti-Obesity Medications" during Module 01 of the CARE (Cardiometabolic Assessment, Risk Reduction & Excellence) Program, organized by the Pakistan Society of Physicians in collaboration with Medical Unit-I, Ward 5, JPMC.
It was a privilege to share the platform with such distinguished colleagues and experts from across Pakistan. The enthusiastic participation, thought-provoking discussions, and interactive Q&A reflected the growing commitment of our healthcare community towards improving cardiometabolic health.
Obesity is a chronic, relapsing disease that deserves evidence-based, compassionate, and individualized management. I hope the session helped clarify the evolving role of anti-obesity medications in achieving better patient outcomes.
My sincere thanks to the organizers, faculty, moderators, and all participants for making this inaugural module a great success. Looking forward to the upcoming modules and continued collaboration in advancing cardiometabolic care across Pakistan.
