Islam, maintaining cleanliness and using pleasant fragrance is encouraged, as it reflects purity and respect for both personal space and acts of worship. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ loved good scents and emphasized hygiene, which is why practices like using perfume or burning incense (such as bakhoor) are culturally appreciated in many Muslim communities. However, it is important to clarify that Islam does not support astrology or the belief that specific days—like Thursday—carry spiritual power based on planetary influence. While in astrology Thursday is associated with the planet Jupiter and ideas of growth or blessings, such beliefs are not part of Islamic teachings. Any positive act, including creating a calm and fragrant environment, is good at any time if done with the intention of cleanliness and remembrance of Allah—not because of astrological associations.
