A patient presented to our clinic after being declined by multiple dental clinics for fixed prosthetic rehabilitation. The patient was determined to preserve his natural teeth and wished to avoid extraction.
Following a comprehensive clinical and radiographic assessment, we formulated a conservative treatment plan that included crown lengthening, single-visit root canal treatment, post and core build-up, and definitive zirconia crown restoration.
First Visit: Single-visit root canal treatment was completed, followed by crown lengthening surgery. The patient was recalled after 15 days to allow for adequate soft tissue healing.
Second Visit: Post and core build-up was performed, followed by tooth preparation. A digital impression was then captured using an intraoral scanner.
Third Visit: The final zirconia restorations were successfully cemented, restoring both function and esthetics while preserving the patient's natural dentition.
This case highlights the importance of accurate diagnosis, meticulous treatment planning, and a multidisciplinary approach in successfully rehabilitating teeth that might otherwise have been considered for extraction. #
