Chief Complaint:
Severe pain in the right heel/ankle region for the last 3 days.
Pain is more pronounced at night.
History of intermittent low-grade fever.
No definite history of trauma.
X-ray Findings:
No obvious fracture or dislocation.
Ankle joint alignment is maintained.
A well-defined radiolucent lesion is seen within the calcaneus without obvious cortical destruction or periosteal reaction.
Impression:
Benign calcaneal lesion is suspected (Calcaneal pseudocyst / Simple bone cyst / Intraosseous lipoma).
However, in view of severe pain and fever, early osteomyelitis cannot be excluded.
