Biliary atresia is an uncommon condition in children, must be diagnosed in the first 6 weeks and surgically treated. Delayed diagnosis after 3 months surely needs liver transplant.

Tumours in children are not uncommon. It is distressing for the parents to see their child suffer but on the positive side, cancers in children have much better treatment outcomes compared to adults.
