A joyful ceremony was held at United Christian Hospital Lahore for the inauguration of the new Physiotherapy Center. The event was led by Chairman Bishop Leo Roderick Paul, who first offered a prayer and then formally inaugurated the department by cutting the ribbon.

The occasion was graced by Mr. Shazir Shaukat (Administrator UCH), Dr. Akash (Medical Director), Rev. Shahzad Gill (Executive Board Member and Senior Chaplain to Archbishop Dr. Azad Marshall), Dr. Shazil, Dr. Zahid Iqbal (Incharge Physiotherapy Department), along with doctors and staff members.

Speaking on the occasion, Bishop Leo expressed gratitude to God and shared his joy that United Christian Hospital Lahore is steadily returning to full strength, with important departments being restored to serve patients once again. He also prayed for the staff and the newly inaugurated department.

Dr. Zahid Iqbal warmly welcomed the guests and guided them through the new Physiotherapy Center, highlighting its upgraded facilities and modern equipment designed to improve patient care and rehabilitation services.

The guests appreciated the efforts of the hospital leadership and thanked the Chairman and Executive Board for their dedication in restoring and strengthening the hospital’s services for the community.

United Christian Hospital is honored to formally announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Pakistan, marking a significant milestone in the advancement of specialized eye care services.

Under this esteemed collaboration, corneal tissues will be facilitated through the Sri Lankan Embassy, while all logistical arrangements and corneal transplant surgeries will be conducted at United Christian Hospital (UCH) by our qualified and dedicated medical team, in accordance with all regulatory requirements.

This partnership represents one of the most important developments for UCH in recent years and further strengthens our commitment to clinical excellence, ethical medical practice, and compassionate healthcare delivery.

Eligible patients will receive corneal transplant surgeries entirely free of cost, ensuring equitable access to life-changing treatment regardless of financial circumstances. UCH will commence corneal transplant procedures upon receipt of the required No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Human Organ Transplant Authority (HOTA), Pakistan.

Through this joint initiative, we reaffirm our shared mission of restoring sight, enhancing quality of life, and bringing renewed hope to those in need.

اس حوالے سے یونائیٹڈ کرسچن ہسپتال اور پاکستان میں سری لنکا کے سفارتخانے کےمابین معاہدے (ایم او یو) پر دستخط کرنے کی تقریب سری لنکا کے کونسل خانہ (لاہور) میں منعقد ہوئی جو آنکھوں کی دیکھ بھال کی خصوصی خدمات کی ترقی میں ایک اہم سنگ میل ہے۔

اس معاہدے کے تحت سری لنکا کے سفارت خانے کے ذریعے یو سی ایچ ہسپتال کو قرنیہ کے ٹشوز کی فراہمی ممکن ہو سکے گی جب کہ تمام لاجسٹک انتظامات اور قرنیہ کی پیوند کاری کی سرجری یونائیٹڈ کرسچن ہسپتال (UCH) میں ہماری مستند پروفیشنل میڈیکل ٹیم کے ذریعے تمام مروجہ ضابطوں کے مطابق کی جائے گی۔

یہ معاہدہ UCH کے لیے اہم پیش رفت ہے جو صحت کی سہولتوں کی فراہمی کے لیے ہمارے عزم کو ظاہر کرتاہے۔
