I am pleased to share our newly published research article:
“Teachers’ Perceived Effectiveness of Vocational Rehabilitation Strategies for Youth with Development Disabilities”
Published in Discover Public Health, Springer Nature on 07 August 2026.
The study examined teachers’ perceptions of vocational rehabilitation strategies designed to support young people with developmental disabilities. Findings showed generally positive perceptions of approaches such as supported employment, individualized training, school-to-work transition, assistive technology, and interagency collaboration. These strategies were viewed as valuable for strengthening job-readiness, employability, self-confidence, and social inclusion.
The study also highlights the importance of strengthening teacher training, institutional support, resource planning, family involvement, and collaborative vocational services to improve transition and employment opportunities for youth with developmental disabilities.
