(Plus improved focus, clarity and better sleep)

Mindfulness and meditation practices are like a muscle; the more you practise, the stronger they become, until there comes a point where you can access them at times when there is absolute chaos all around.

This particular practice that I've recorded and shared below is a shortened version of the one I often use with my clients and on myself. Among the numerous research-backed benefits that meditation has, I find this one helps achieve 3 things, among others:

1. It makes you mindful about the present moment, so that you feel and enjoy the present moment more deeply.

2. It brings your focus from the mind to the body.

3. It has grounding elements as well, so it shifts the focus from internal events and sensations to external stimuli

It helps me become lighter and clearer (and improves my focus massively), giving my mind a much needed rest.

Before starting this (or any) meditation, 2 things to keep in mind:

1. There is no good or bad meditation.

Every single time would bring different experiences. The subconscious mind is always listening, learning and absorbing information. If you find it difficult to focus-- it's fine. If you don't feel very relaxed-- that's also fine. Because this is a 'muscle' that builds up with practice.

2. If you find it really difficult to calm the racing thoughts, don't try to forcibly 'stop' them, because the more you try to stop thoughts and 'achieve' a desired state, the more elusive it becomes (e.g "Don't think about the monkeys" etc.).

The desired state is already within. Simply visualise and feel every breath coming in and out-- visualise it spreading light and healing through your whole body. Just focus on your breath, everything else will fall into place. Immerse yourself without expectations, just allow yourself to Be.

To all people who have been following this page-- the page has been dormant for quite a while and in order to bring it fully back to life again, I will have to terminate and remake this page (with the same name). Do keep following, because I will be posting meditation/relaxation audios and various therapeutic techniques, simplified, ready to apply in daily life. Love and healing, Fatima 💜
