Under the esteemed supervision of the Vice Chancellor of King Edward Medical University (KEMU), Prof. Dr. Mahmood Ayaz, and the direct administration of our Worthy Medical Superintendent, Dr. Sobia Javed, a high-level meeting was held today to reinforce and enhance infection control protocols across the hospital.

Patient safety, hygiene, and strict adherence to medical guidelines remain our topmost priorities. During the session, the following key strategies were discussed and implemented:

🔹 Enhanced Screening: Compulsory screening for Hepatitis B, C, and AIDS at the first point of contact in both the OPD and Emergency through a structured Triage system.

Under the esteemed supervision of the Vice Chancellor of King Edward Medical University (KEMU), Prof. Dr. Mahmood Ayaz, and the direct administration of our Worthy Medical Superintendent, Dr. Sobia Javed, we had the pleasure of welcoming Dr. Saira, Project Director of Kangaroo Mother Care (KMC), to our hospital.

This high-profile visit was focused on evaluating and establishing our upcoming, highly anticipated project: KMC (Kangaroo Mother Care).

To mark this important occasion, our Medical Superintendent, Dr. Sobia Javed, along with the hospital staff, led an awareness walk to highlight the critical importance of dengue prevention. Dengue is a challenge that we can successfully overcome, but only if we work together as a community.

A Hands on Workshop on “Management of Stress Urinary Incontinence “was arranged by Gynae and Obs. Department Unit IV Lady Aitchison Hospital under chairmanship of Prof. Dr Meher Un Nisa in Mustafa Auditorium of Lady Aitchison Hospital Lahore on Thursday I.e. 16/4/26 .Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Mehmood Ayaz was patron in chief.
The Chief Organizer Professor Dr. Meher-un-Nisa, Head of Department Unit IV LAH gave welcome speech and overviewed the agenda of the workshop as part of working forward for the superspecialist of Urogynecology in LAH. Urogynecoloical Data Presentation was done by Dr Amtul Nisa (PGR 3rd Yr Unit IV LAH ). A very informative, detailed presentation on Stress Urinary Incontinence and hands on was conducted on TVT(Tension free Vaginal tape ),TOT (Transobsturator tape ) and Bursch Colposuspension by Dr. Sheema yousaf, Senior Registrar and Focal person Urogynecology at Unit IV LAH (FCPS, MRCOG, MRCPI, Clinical Fellow of Urogynecology at Shalamar Hospital ).A detailed overview on Urodynamics and its Indications was given by Dr. Munazza Senior Registrar Unit IV LAH .Consultants and SRs from Unit IV Dr. Maria, Dr. Saleha, Dr. Hina Zafar, Dr. Munazza, Dr Sheema Yousaf from Unit IV took keen interest in workshop conduction and Hand on models .
Around 40 Participants from both Unit IV and Unit V LAH and other Hospitals of Lahore took great interest and found the workshop very informative and helpful.
Feedback was taken from candidates who found it very informative and helpful.
MS Lady Aitchison Hospital (LAH) Dr.Sobia Javaid graced the occasion and appreciated teaching and learning activities in LAH. Prof. Dr. Nadia Khursheed also joined the event and supported the academic session.

Celebrating Eid-ul-Fitr: Provincial Health Minister Khawaja Salman Rafique Visits Lady Aitchison Hospital 🌙🏥

In a heartwarming gesture to share the festive spirit, Provincial Minister for Health, Khawaja Salman Rafique, visited Lady Aitchison Hospital, Lahore, today. He was accompanied by the Vice Chancellor of King Edward Medical University (KEMU), Prof. Dr. Mahmood Ayyaz.

📍 Warm Welcome:
Upon his arrival, the Provincial Minister and the Vice Chancellor were warmly received by the Medical Superintendent (MS) of Lady Aitchison Hospital, Dr. Sobia Javed, who presented them with bouquets. Prof. Mehr-un-Nisa and senior faculty members were also present to welcome the distinguished guests.

✨ Highlights of the Visit:

Celebration: The Minister and the VC joined patients and staff to cut an Eid cake, marking the joyous occasion with communal harmony.

Patient Engagement: Khawaja Salman Rafique and Prof. Dr. Mahmood Ayyaz visited various wards, personally inquiring about the health and well-being of the patients and distributing Eid gifts among them.

Recognition of Staff: Gifts were also distributed among the medical and paramedical staff to acknowledge their dedication and tireless service.
