Basic Life Support (BLS) Workshop | BASES Mardan
BASES Mardan successfully conducted a Basic Life Support (BLS) Workshop on Saturday, 11 July 2026, aimed at equipping therapists, parents, caregivers, and the community with essential life-saving skills.
Managing Director Bases Mardan Dr. Mehreen Pirzada expressed her sincere gratitude to Prof. Dr. Muhammad Saeed, Medical Director, MTI Mardan Medical Complex, for his support of this important academic initiative. She also acknowledged the Education Department, Bacha Khan Medical College, and the Departments of Cardiology and Pediatrics, Mardan Medical Complex, for their valuable academic support and resource persons.
Assistant Professor of Pediatrics Dr. Khalil Ahmad delivered an insightful session on neurodevelopmental disorders, emphasizing community awareness and family counseling for children with special needs. Head of Department of Cardiology AP Dr. Shafiq Alam highlighted the importance of BLS in saving lives and appreciated BASES Mardan's efforts to empower therapists and parents with these essential skills.
The practical BLS and choking management session for adults, children, and neonates was conducted by Consultant Cardiologist Dr. Zakir Ullah, assisted by Mr. Nadeem Khan Incharge Nurse Cardiology, followed by hands-on practice by all participants.
As a token of appreciation, Dr. Mehreen Pirzada presented honorary shields to the distinguished guests and resource persons, while Dr. Khalil Ahmad and Dr. Shafiq Alam distributed certificates of participation to all attendees.
