🕯️ A Heartbreaking Tragedy at PIMS Islamabad

A devastating fire broke out in the neonatal nursery of the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS), Islamabad, on Wednesday morning, resulting in the tragic loss of precious newborn lives.

According to initial reports, the fire reportedly started following an incident involving an air-conditioning unit in the nursery. Reports indicate that only one newborn was rescued, while the remaining infants tragically lost their lives.

💔 Tiny lives that had only just begun… lost in a heartbreaking tragedy.

Our deepest condolences and prayers are with the grieving families. May Allah Almighty grant the departed innocent souls the highest place in Jannah and give their parents and loved ones Sabr-e-Jameel during this unimaginable pain. Ameen. 🤲

This tragedy also highlights the critical importance of hospital fire safety, emergency preparedness, regular equipment inspection, and effective evacuation systems, particularly in neonatal and intensive care units.

May such a tragedy never happen again.
