Today marks a historic milestone at the Institute of Kidney Diseases (IKD), as we humbly announce the successful completion of the "first-ever deceased donor renal transplant" in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. For the first time in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the Institute of Kidney Diseases (IKD) Peshawar has launched lithotripsy services for children under anesthesia, thanks to the dedicated efforts of Director IKD, Dr. Muhammad Kamran Khan. This marks a significant milestone in improving pediatric urological care in the region. Previously, families were compelled to seek these services in other provinces, leading to increased financial strain and emotional stress.
