Today a meeting of representatives from across the province was held at LRH to discuss the current situation and decide the way forward.

1️⃣ Strike will continue
Our strike has been ongoing for the past 25 days.Since the government has still not taken any practical steps towards accepting our legitimate demands the strike will continue until our demands are accepted.

2️⃣ Tomorrow’s Power Show — KTH
Keeping in view the current security situation and potential security threats it has been decided to shift tomorrow’s Power Show from LRH to KTH to ensure everyone’s safety.

The Governor KP, opposition MPAs and MNAs along with other political and social representatives are expected to attend the Power Show.

We request all colleagues to ensure their presence at KTH tomorrow and come along with as many colleagues as possible. We need to demonstrate our unity and collective strength.

3️⃣ The Community Will Decide the Next Step
As announced in our previous press conference, practical steps regarding the strike were planned for the coming week.

Tomorrow, the next course of action will be decided according to the collective opinion of the community. If the community decides to proceed with service withdrawal, including withdrawal from cold/ward duties, the decision and further strategy will be announced at tomorrow’s Power Show.

This is the time for collective participation and unity.

We request everyone to ensure their presence tomorrow and share this message with your colleagues and friends across the province.

Tomorrow at KTH — Let’s stand together and make our collective voice heard.

Thank you so much Yousaf Jan Utmanzai for the coverage. We have got one and only agenda , that is 30% pay raise. No compromise will be made on that. We may boycott our ward duties as well.

I don't know what the PTI government is doing with the people of KPK. Just look at the development being done in the punjab in education and healthcare. Every second day they are opening a large hospital but in KPK that one children hospital has not been functional for many years.
There is no sihat card system but still treatment is free in their government hospitals.
They have not changed the nature of jobs to contract for doctors,nurses and other paramedical staff, still they are giving good services.
Many things to write but let the people of KPK suffer. We can not be honest and loyal with ourselves. J

پردیس سے آیا” بابوجی” .
(Saturday special)

ایک بابو جی آیا ہے۔
امریکہ سے۔ہمیں ٹھیک کرنے ۔
ڈاکٹر ہے، مہنگا مشیر ہے، بڑے اعتماد سے کہتا ہے،
“ہم آپ کا Health System Reform کریں گے۔”

وہ ہمارے ہسپتال میں داخل ہوا تو اسے چالیس مریض نظر نہیں آئے، اسے چالیس بستروں کی Revenue Potential نظر آئی۔
حل بھی فوراً مل گیا۔
صبح سرکاری مریض،شام Private مریض۔
کسی غریب کو نکالا نہیں جائے گا،بس اسے تھوڑا انتظار کرنا ہوگا۔پھر کچھ اور انتظار۔اور پھر شاید اتنا انتظار کہ بستر کی ضرورت ہی نہ رہے۔
دنیا میں Healthcare تب خراب نہیں ہوتی جب برے لوگ آ جائیں۔زیادہ خطرناک بات یہ ہے کہ اچھے لوگ غلط incentives کے تحت “معقول” فیصلے کرنے لگیں۔
پھر نرس جانتی ہے کس گھنٹی کا جواب پہلے دینا ہے۔
ڈاکٹر جانتا ہے کس فون کو فوراً اٹھانا ہے۔
اور نظام آہستہ آہستہ یہ سکھا دیتا ہے کہ جس کے پاس پیسہ ہے، اس کا وقت قیمتی ہے۔

دنیا کے کئی غریب یا متوسط ممالک نے کم پیسوں میں بہتر Health Systems بنائے،کیونکہ ان کے پاس شاید دولت کم تھی، مگر مقصد واضح تھا،”صحت “ ، غریب کے لئے بھی ، امیر کے لئے بھی ۔

ہمارے بابو جی کے پاس بھی مقصد ہے۔۔Healthcare کو Business بنانا ۔

اور پھر اسے Sehat Card دکھائی دیتا ہے۔
آنکھوں میں چمک آتی ہے۔کیونکہ اسے معلوم ہے۔جب ہسپتال کو مریض نہیں بلکہ Procedure کے حساب سے پیسے ملیں، تو نظام آہستہ آہستہ مریض نہیں، Procedures پیدا کرنا شروع کر دیتا ہے۔
سب سے خطرناک کرپشن ہمیشہ پیسے کی نہیں ہوتی۔کبھی کبھی incentive ہی کرپشن کا ایسا نظام بنا دیتا ہے جس میں کسی کو کرپٹ ہونے کی ضرورت نہیں رہتی۔

‎اور پھر آتا ہے سب سے خاموش نقصان
Teaching faculty loss .
سینئر کبھی ریٹائر نہیں ہوتا،جونیئر کبھی آگے نہیں بڑھتا۔پھر مجبورا اسے ملک چھوڑنا پڑتا ہے ۔
اور ہم حیران ہوتے ہیں کہ جن ڈاکٹروں کو یہاں Professor بننا تھا، وہ Birmingham اور Riyadh میں Professor بن چکے ہیں۔
ہمارا بابو جی اپنی رپورٹ لکھتا ہے،
Private revenue بڑھا۔
Occupancy بڑھی۔
Incentives بڑھے۔
جو مریض بستر تک نہیں پہنچے؟Data میں نہیں آئے۔
جو ڈاکٹر ملک چھوڑ گئے؟Talent mobility۔
وہ مطمئن ہو کر واپس چلا جاتا ہے۔

اس نے کچھ چوری نہیں کیا۔کوئی قانون نہیں توڑا۔
بس ایک ایسا نظام دے گیا جو وہی کرتا ہے جس کے لیے اسے بنایا گیا ہے,جس کے پاس پیسہ ہے، اسے تیز راستہ دیتا ہے,اور باقیوں کو قطار۔

غالب نے کہا تھا۔
ابنِ مریم ہوا کرے کوئی
میرے دکھ کی دوا کرے کوئی

ہمیں بھی مسیحا چاہیے تھا۔
وہ مسیحا تو آیا،مگر ساتھ Billing System لے آیا۔
