🌿 Dr. Sobia Azim proudly belongs to the renowned and highly respected family of Village Budni, District Peshawar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. She is the daughter-in-law of the late Alhajj Mashrang Khan Baba Ji of Budni, a distinguished social worker and legendary Khudai Khidmatgar, whose lifelong dedication to public welfare, humanity, and community service earned him immense respect throughout the region. Inspired by this remarkable legacy, Dr. Sobia Azim continues to serve society with the same spirit of compassion, dignity, and selfless devotion.
🎓 After obtaining her MBBS from Dow Medical University, Karachi, she successfully completed her FCPS in Gynaecology & Obstetrics from the College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan (CPSP). Through merit, determination, and professional excellence, she steadily progressed from Medical Officer (BPS-17) to District Specialist (BPS-18) and was ultimately promoted to BPS-19 by the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa—an honour reflecting her outstanding contributions to healthcare.
🌍 A firm believer in lifelong learning, Dr. Sobia Azim pursued advanced international training in Paris and earned prestigious qualifications in Clinical Assisted Reproductive Technologies (CART), Health Professions Education (CHPE), Aesthetic & Cosmetic Gynaecology, and BCRM from the British Institute, United Kingdom, equipping her with world-class expertise to deliver the highest standard of patient care.
👩⚕️ Today, she proudly serves as Assistant Professor and Head of the Department of Gynaecology & Obstetrics at the Government Emergency Satellite Teaching Hospital, Nahaqi, Peshawar, where she is not only saving lives but also mentoring the next generation of healthcare professionals.
💜 Her service extends far beyond hospital walls. As a District Member of the Home Based Violence Against Women Committee, she stands as a powerful advocate for women's rights, dignity, protection, and empowerment, working tirelessly to improve the lives of vulnerable women across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
🏥 Driven by a vision to make quality healthcare accessible to every woman, Dr. Sobia Azim is establishing M/s Shaukat Begum Poly Clinic, Peshawar—a healthcare initiative dedicated to providing affordable, compassionate, and modern medical services to poor, needy, and rural women, with a special focus on maternal and reproductive healthcare.
