The risk factors can include for Metabolic dysfunction associated Liver Disease:

Ask your doctor to do FIB4 test

The FIB-4 (Fibrosis-4) blood test is a simple, non-invasive way to check how healthy your liver is. It helps estimate if there is any scarring (fibrosis) in your liver.

How Is the Test Done?

The FIB-4 test uses information from:

Your age
A blood test called AST
A blood test called ALT
Your platelet count
These results are used in a formula to give you a FIB-4 score.

What Do the Results Mean?

Your FIB-4 score falls into one of three categories:

Low (2.67) Higher chance of liver scarring – more tests are usually recommended
Note: The cut-off values may differ slightly depending on your age.

What Happens Next?

Low score? Great! Your liver is likely in good shape. Your doctor may still check your liver regularly.
Intermediate or high score? You may need further tests, such as a FibroScan, we will be in contact with you to book in you for the scan.

Is the FIB-4 Test a Diagnosis?

No. The FIB-4 test is a screening tool. It can’t confirm liver disease on its own but helps your doctor decide what to do next.
