Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Health Minister Khaliq ur Rehman inaugurated new medical facilities at MTI–Hayatabad Medical Complex, including a dialysis unit, outpatient department, and wards at the Institute of Kidney Diseases.
Addressing the inaugural ceremony, the minister reaffirmed the provincial government's commitment to strengthening public-sector healthcare and improving medical services. He appreciated the leadership and efforts of HMC's management, doctors, nurses, and healthcare staff for enhancing patient care.
The Health Minister said the Burns and Plastic Surgery Centre had significantly improved treatment facilities for burn patients, allowing them to receive specialised care within the province. He also highlighted the Sehat Card programme, stating that Rs 50 billion had been allocated in the current financial year to support quality healthcare services.
During the visit, the minister inspected various hospital departments, met patients undergoing treatment, and praised the performance of the Institute of Kidney Diseases and the Burns and Plastic Surgery Centre for their continued commitment to quality healthcare.
