Glabellar Tap Sign (Myerson’s Sign)

English:
When you gently tap the forehead (between the eyebrows), a normal person blinks a few times and then stops.
But in conditions like Parkinson’s disease, the blinking continues repeatedly this is called a positive Glabellar Tap Sign.

👉 It indicates impaired inhibition in the brain (frontal lobe dysfunction).

جب پیشانی کے درمیان (ابرو کے بیچ) ہلکا ہلکا ٹیپ کیا جائے تو نارمل انسان چند بار پلک جھپکنے کے بعد رک جاتا ہے۔
لیکن Parkinson’s disease میں مریض بار بار پلکیں جھپکتا رہتا ہے اسے Glabellar Tap Sign مثبت کہتے ہیں۔

👉 یہ دماغ کی کنٹرول (inhibition) کی خرابی کو ظاہر کرتا ہے۔
