بعد ازاں ہسپتال ڈائریکٹر نے آپریشن تھیٹر کا دورہ کیا اور وہاں موجود عملے سے ملاقات کی۔ انہوں نے شعبہ ایمرجنسی کا بھی دورہ کیا، جہاں میڈیکل اور سرجیکل ایمرجنسی میں فراہم کی جانے والی ہنگامی طبی امداد کا جائزہ لیا۔

ہسپتال ڈائریکٹر نے انچارج ایمرجنسی اور منیجر ایمرجنسی کو ہدایت کی کہ آج کل سانپ کے کاٹنے کے کیسز زیادہ رپورٹ ہو رہے ہیں، اس لیے مؤثر اقدامات یقینی بنائے جائیں۔ انہوں نے ڈیوٹی پر موجود تمام عملے سے بھی ملاقات کی اور ان کی حوصلہ افزائی کی۔

Swabi: The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Bacha Khan Medical Complex (BKMC), MTI Swabi, has achieved another major clinical milestone after successfully saving the life of a critically ill premature infant, Baby Essa.

Hailing from Maneri, Swabi, Baby Essa was born prematurely at 33 weeks with a birth weight of just 1.3 kg. He was brought to the NICU in a severe collapsed condition—apneic, gasping for air, and suffering from profound respiratory distress and sepsis. Recognizing the critical situation, the expert NICU team performed immediate resuscitation to revive the baby and promptly placed him on mechanical ventilator support.

With dedicated round-the-clock intensive care and administration of surfactant therapy, the baby's lung function stabilized. The clinical team systematically navigated his respiratory weaning, transitioning him from ventilator support to CPAP, then to low-flow oxygen, and ultimately to room air. Following clinical stabilization, he was shifted to Kangaroo Mother Care (KMC).

After 15 days of intensive medical management, Baby Essa has made a full recovery, is feeding well, gaining weight naturally, and is ready for discharge home.

The Head of the Department lauded the extraordinary commitment, swift medical response, and clinical synergy demonstrated by the doctors, nursing staff, and support team, while also expressing appreciation for the patience and trust shown by the parents.

Public Health Awareness Message:
In light of this case, the NICU clinical team emphasizes a crucial public health message for the community: congenital neural tube defects such as meningomyelocele can be effectively prevented through routine antenatal folate (folic acid) supplementation. Expectant mothers are strongly urged to begin folate supplementation early under medical guidance to safeguard newborn health.

صوابی: باچاخان میڈیکل کمپلیکس (ایم ٹی آئی صوابی) کے نوزائیدہ بچوں کے انتہائی نگہداشت یونٹ (NICU) نے انتہائی نازک حالت میں لائے گئے قبل از وقت پیدا ہونے والے بچے "عیسیٰ" کو نئی زندگی دے کر ایک اور بڑی طبی کامیابی حاصل کر لی ہے۔

صوابی کے علاقے مانیری سے تعلق رکھنے والا بچہ عیسیٰ صرف 33 ہفتوں کی حمل کی مدت میں پیدا ہوا اور اس کا وزن محض 1.3 کلوگرام تھا۔ ہسپتال منتقل کیے جانے پر بچے کی حالت شدید تشویشناک (Collapsed Condition) تھی؛ وہ سانس نہیں لے پا رہا تھا اور آخری سانسیں لے رہا تھا (Apneic & Gasping)۔ اسے شدید سانس کی تکلیف اور انفیکشن (Sepsis) لاحق تھا۔ این آئی سی یو کی ماہر ٹیم نے فوری طور پر ری سسی ٹیشن (Resuscitation) کر کے بچے کی سانسیں بحال کیں اور اسے وینٹی لیٹر کی مدد پر منتقل کیا۔

شب و روز کی نگہداشت اور 'سرفیکٹنٹ تھراپی' (Surfactant Therapy) کی فراہمی کے بعد بچے کو مرحلہ وار وینٹی لیٹر سے سی پیپ (CPAP)، پھر لو فلو آکسیجن (Low-flow Oxygen) اور بالآخر قدرتی ہوا (Room Air) پر منتقل کیا گیا۔ حالت بہتر ہونے پر بچے کو کینگرو مدر کیئر (KMC) منتقل کر دیا گیا۔ الحمدللہ، 15 دن کے مسلسل اور کامیاب علاج کے بعد بچہ عیسیٰ اب مکمل طور پر صحت یاب ہے، اچھی طرح دودھ پی رہا ہے، اس کا وزن بڑھ رہا ہے اور وہ گھر جانے کے لیے بالکل تیار ہے۔

ہڈ آف ڈیپارٹمنٹ نے طبی ٹیم، ڈاکٹروں، نرسوں اور این آئی سی یو کے معاون عملے کی بروقت کارروائی اور انتھک محنت کی شدید سراہنا کی اور ساتھ ہی بچے کے والدین کے صبر اور تعاون کا شکریہ ادا کیا۔
میڈیا کے توسط سے اہم عوامی پیغام

اس موقع پر شعبہ نوزائیدہ کے ماہرین نے میڈیا کے ذریعے عوام الناس بالخصوص خواتین کے لیے ایک انتہائی اہم طبی پیغام جاری کیا کہ ریڑھ کی ہڈی کے پیدائشی نقائص جیسے 'میننگومائلوسیل' (Meningomyelocele) سے بچوں کو محفوظ رکھنے کے لیے دورانِ حمل ماؤں کا فولک ایسڈ (Folate) کا استعمال انتہائی ضروری ہے۔ تمام حاملہ خواتین کو چاہیے کہ وہ قبل از پیدائش باقاعدگی سے طبی معائنہ کرائیں اور فولک ایسڈ کی خوراک کا استعمال لازمی یقینی بنائیں۔

Swabi: The 28th Board of Governors (BoG) Meeting of Medical Teaching Institution (MTI) Swabi, comprising Gajju Khan Medical College (GKMC), Bacha Khan Medical Complex (BKMC), and Allied Health Institutions, was held under the chairmanship of Major General (R) Salahuddin Qasim at the Conference Room of THQ Hospital Topi, MTI Swabi.

The meeting was attended by the Chairman and BoG members, including Prof. Dr. Tufail Mohammad, while Ms. Komal Fiza and Mr. Irfan joined online. The meeting was also attended by the Dean/CEO, Hospital Director, Medical Director, Director Finance, Nursing Director, and the Associate Hospital Directors (AHDs) of THQ TOPI and Chota Lahor.

During the meeting, Dr. Gul Parez, AHD, THQ Topi, presented a comprehensive progress report on the hospital's performance and recent developments. The Hospital Director of BKMC and AHD Topi briefed the Board on key initiatives, including the Fair Price Pharmacy, Emergency Department, Dialysis Unit, and the under-construction Gynaecology Complex. The Board appreciated the management for the significant improvements made in healthcare services at THQ Hospital Topi.

The Strategic Plan 2026–2029, presented by the Manager Internal Audit, was reviewed and endorsed by the Board for implementation over the next three years. The Internal Audit Department also presented its audit report, which was appreciated by the Board.
The Board emphasized the effective implementation of the Sehat Card Plus Programme to ensure that more patients benefit from quality healthcare services. The concerned officers were directed to further strengthen the programme at BKMC as well as THQ Hospitals Topi and Chota Lahor.

The Board also reviewed the progress of the Dr. Ashfaq Institute of Allied Health Sciences, Nigar College of Nursing, and Gajju Khan College of Dentistry projects. The BOG appreciated the progress on these development projects as well as other schemes included in the Annual Development Programme (ADP), including the Cath Lab, Clinical Tower, HMIS, and other ongoing infrastructure projects.

The Dean/CEO, Hospital Director, and Medical Director also presented their respective progress reports and agenda items to the Board.

The forum directed the Human Resources and Finance Departments to expedite the recruitment process for essential vacant positions to further strengthen healthcare services.

Before the meeting, the Chairman, Board member, and the management visited the newly established Fair Price Pharmacy, where quality medicines are being provided to patients at discounted prices. They also inspected the Dialysis Unit, New Emergency Department, OPD, Main Operation Theatre, and various hospital wards, where they interacted with patients and received their feedback. The delegation also visited the under-construction Gynaecology Complex, which is nearing completion.

The Board reaffirmed its commitment to improving healthcare services, strengthening medical education, and completing ongoing development projects for the benefit of the people of Swabi.

Swabi: 24th Hospital Executive Committee Meeting Held at BKMC-MTI Swabi, Date: 30 July 2026

Swabi: The 24th meeting of the Hospital Executive Committee (HEC) was held on 30 July 2026 in the Committee Room at BKMC-MTI Swabi, under the chairmanship of Dr. Khalid Masud, Hospital Director.

The meeting was attended by the Associate Hospital Director, THQ Hospital Chota Lahor, Administrative Officers, Finance Officer, Heads of Departments, and other concerned officials.

The Chairman reviewed the three-month performance reports of all departments and expressed satisfaction with the overall progress. The Emergency Department was particularly appreciated for effectively managing heatstroke patients and establishing a dedicated Heatstroke Unit in view of the prevailing weather conditions.

The In-Charge and Manager Emergency Department were directed to make timely preparations for the expected dengue season and ensure the availability of necessary arrangements, medicines, equipment, and trained staff.

The performance of the Sehat Card Plus Programme was also reviewed. The Committee emphasized that maximum eligible patients should be facilitated through Sehat Card Plus. It was noted that the SSP team is providing round-the-clock services to assist patients and their attendants.

The Chairman acknowledged the collective efforts of all departments that contributed to the inclusion of the institution’s major development projects in the Annual Development Programme (ADP).

Strict compliance with biometric attendance was emphasized. The Chairman directed the Human Resources Department to ensure the timely attendance of all employees, including administrative officers, and stated that habitual late arrival or delayed attendance should be addressed in accordance with the applicable rules.

The Manager MIS was directed to ensure the installation and effective operation of CCTV surveillance systems at both THQ hospitals to strengthen security and monitoring arrangements.

The Committee also discussed patient satisfaction surveys, improvement of patient waiting areas, availability of safe drinking water, strengthening of the Medical Records Department, and progress on the Triage and Registration Counters.

All agenda items were discussed individually, and decisions were taken accordingly.

گیس پائپ لائن کے حوالے باچاخان میڈیکل کمپلیکس انتظامیہ کا وضاحتی بیان
باچا خان میڈیکل کمپلیکس، ایم ٹی آئی صوابی کی انتظامیہ گیس پائپ لائن سے متعلق الیکٹرانک اور سوشل میڈیا پر گردش کرنے والی خبروں کے حوالے سے واضح کرنا چاہتی ہے کہ ہسپتال میں دو انچ قطر کی گیس پائپ لائن بچھانے کا عمل تمام متعلقہ قانونی، انتظامی اور محکمانہ تقاضے پورے کرنے کے بعد انجام دیا گیا۔
منصوبے کے لیے پہلے باقاعدہ طور پر اخبارات میں ٹینڈر شائع کیا گیا، جس کے بعد محکمہ مواصلات و تعمیرات (C&W) نے قواعد و ضوابط کے مطابق ٹھیکہ ایوارڈ کیا۔ بعدازاں متعلقہ کام ایسے ٹھیکیدار کے ذریعے انجام دیا گیا جو سوئی ناردرن گیس پائپ لائنز لمیٹڈ (SNGPL) کے منظور شدہ پینل میں شامل ہے، جبکہ واجب الادا رقم بھی محکمہ مواصلات و تعمیرات کی جانب سے متعلقہ ٹھیکیدار کو منتقل کی گئی۔
لہٰذا ہسپتال انتظامیہ اس تاثر اور الزام کی سختی سے تردید کرتی ہے کہ مذکورہ گیس پائپ لائن غیر قانونی طور پر بچھائی گئی۔ منصوبے سے متعلق تمام ضروری کاغذی کارروائی، منظوریوں اور متعلقہ اداروں کے ساتھ رابطہ و تعاون کا باقاعدہ ریکارڈ موجود ہے۔
مزید برآں وفاقی تحقیقات ادارے ایف آئی اے کی ٹیم کو منصوبے سے متعلق تمام دستیاب شواہد، دستاویزات اور ریکارڈ فراہم کردیا گیا ہے، اور انتظامیہ کسی بھی قانونی جانچ یا تحقیقات میں مکمل تعاون کر رہی ہے۔
انتظامیہ یہ بھی واضح کرنا چاہتی ہے کہ مذکورہ پائپ لائن میں تاحال گیس کی فراہمی شروع نہیں کی گئی اور نہ ہی اس سے کسی قسم کا کنکشن حاصل کیا گیا ہے۔ یہ پائپ لائن محکمہ مواصلات و تعمیرات اور سوئی ناردرن گیس پائپ لائنز لمیٹڈ کے باہمی تعاون سے باچا خان میڈیکل کمپلیکس میں بچھائی گئی ہے۔
میڈیا اداروں اور سوشل میڈیا صارفین سے گزارش ہے کہ حقائق اور متعلقہ سرکاری ریکارڈ کی تصدیق کے بغیر اس منصوبے کو غیر قانونی قرار نہ دیا جائے، کیونکہ ایسی غیر مصدقہ اطلاعات سے ایک اہم سرکاری طبی ادارے کی ساکھ متاثر ہونے کا خدشہ ہے۔
