🚀 A Proud Milestone for Mir's Veterinary Clinic! 🎓
We are delighted to announce the successful completion of the first 30-day Undergraduate DVM Internship Program at Mir's Veterinary Clinic.

Congratulations to Mr. Himat Ali (Registration No. 2K23-AV-77), an Undergraduate DVM student from Sindh Agriculture University, Tando Jam, on becoming the first internee to complete our clinical training program.

Our internship is designed to bridge the gap between classroom learning and real veterinary practice through hands-on clinical training, farm visits, case discussions, emergency case management, diagnostic skills, treatment protocols, surgery assistance, and preventive healthcare, complemented by strong theoretical learning.

This program was conducted under the dedicated supervision of Dr. Abdullah Babar and Dr. Moiz Talpur, whose commitment to mentoring future veterinarians reflects our mission to promote excellence in veterinary education and field practice.

A progressive farmer presented a duck with lameness and localized swelling of the foot. Careful clinical evaluation confirmed a diagnosis of bumble foot (pododermatitis).
The case was managed using a structured clinical approach, including appropriate wound care, antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory therapy, and guidance on corrective housing and hygiene practices.

Internship Program – Field Training Update
A professional internship training activity was conducted yesterday at Mir Faheem’s Goat Farm, Village Mir Haji Khan Talpur.
The internee received hands-on training in IV administration, complemented by a brief theoretical lecture to strengthen clinical understanding and practical application.
All procedures were performed under the direct supervision of DrMoiz Talpur , strictly in accordance with the protocols and clinical standards of Mir's Veterinary Clinic, Tando Allahyar .
The activity focused on aseptic techniques, proper animal restraint, safety protocols, and evidence-based field practices, ensuring meaningful professional exposure and skill development.

Internship Program: Supervised Field Training in Preventive Veterinary Care:

A supervised field session on buffalo vaccination was conducted at Nazar Thebo's Farm, Village Haji Nur Muhammad Thebo, Dasori, Tando Allahyar. The activity focused on the scientific and technical essentials of immunization, including correct dosage, route of administration, cold chain maintenance, biosecurity, and proper record keeping.
During the session, internee Himat Shanbani was provided hands-on clinical guidance to strengthen practical understanding alongside theoretical knowledge.

All activities were planned, supervised, and executed by DrMoiz Talpur under the professional framework of Mir's Veterinary Clinic, which remains dedicated to fostering a supportive learning environment that emphasizes practical field exposure integrated with sound theoretical training for internees.

Field Activity Update
A field visit was conducted at Village Mir Haji Khan Talpur, Jhando Mari, Tando Allahyar, focusing on strategic planning for the management of sacrificial buffalo bull calves intended for the upcoming Eid-ul-Azha.
During the visit, practical and sustainable management strategies—including nutrition, health care, growth monitoring, and pre-sacrifice preparation—were thoroughly discussed with Mr. Dhundo Bheel, the rightful owner of the bull calves.
Such field engagements aim to promote optimal animal health, welfare, and compliance with best livestock management practices for Qurbani animals.
