Some people think forgiveness means reopening the door.
It doesn’t.
Forgiveness is releasing the poison, not rehiring the person who handed it to you.
I can forgive you and still remember what your actions revealed.
I can wish you healing and still refuse your proximity.
I can pray for your growth and still keep my boundaries intact.
Because forgiveness is about freeing my heart.
Access is about protecting my peace.
And not everyone who asks for reconciliation has earned restoration.
Some people don’t miss you… they miss the access they lost to you.
I’m not bitter.
I’m not angry.
I’m simply no longer willing to abandon my discernment just to make others comfortable.
Forgiveness does not erase memory.
Wisdom is remembering the lesson without carrying the resentment.
That’s not coldness.
That’s clarity.
Nikki’s Sutra:
“Forgiveness releases the weight.
Boundaries protect the peace.
Not every healed wound deserves reopened doors.”
