On March 8, Warga Cakna the Malaysian partner of for Palestinians Campaign, implemented a humanitarian Ramadan initiative to distribute hot meals in Al-Qasim Camp in the Al-Sawariha area, targeting small families consisting of 3 to 4 members, with the aim of supporting them and easing their living burdens amid the difficult conditions.

It is worth noting that this camp had not received any Iftar (fast-breaking) initiatives for a full week, which increased the need of families there for such support, especially during the blessed month of Ramadan. Therefore, this initiative came to help fill part of this need and bring joy to the hearts of the residents.

The initiative also included support for women heads of households, who bear the responsibility of providing for their families under challenging economic conditions.

They were given priority in receiving the distributed meals.

An atmosphere of happiness and gratitude prevailed among the beneficiary families, as residents expressed their appreciation for this humanitarian initiative that helped ease part of their daily suffering during these difficult times.

It is also important to note that chicken is currently unavailable in the markets, while some other food items are available at very high prices due to the closure of the crossing and the difficulty of bringing food supplies into the area, which further increases the financial burden on families.
