The Moon on Regulus, beside Ketu. The new you.

The first day after the new Moon and the eclipse. The Moon aligns today with Regulus— the heart of the Lion, the royal star — and with Ketu, in Magha, the nakshatra of the ancestors and of the throne. A meeting that symbolically closes what yesterday's eclipse opened.
The past few days, and especially the past few hours, may have brought — for those attentive to their own states — a particular weight: heavy thoughts, a diffuse discomfort connected to the past, to situations we now feel we could have processed better. Conversations with loved ones with whom we share an important history. Dreams of people or moments from long ago. Ketu in Magha works exactly like this: it brings to the surface what we have been carrying without knowing we carried it.

And within this surfacing lies the gift of the day. A greater understanding of one's own trauma and suffering. Not in order to relive the pain, but to see it whole and to be able, at last, to set it down. Acceptance comes more easily today. Openness toward destiny and toward the possibilities taking shape ahead becomes, suddenly, less frightening.

This is a day of personal reckoning — and, for many, a day with a rare gift: the ability to identify exactly what it is that you are missing in order to succeed in a certain direction of your life. Not what opposes you from outside, but what you do not yet carry within. This clear sight is not a reproach; it is a map.
Regulus and Ketu together make possible something that rarely happens: you can see the person you once were. The older versions of yourself, with their choices, their fears, everything they did not yet know. And you can look at them without judgment — with the gratitude of someone who understands that without them, you would not have arrived here.

The Moon continues her journey through Scorpio, on the eleventh day of the bright fortnight — and this is no ordinary eleventh day. It is Devshayani Ekadashi, the day when, according to tradition, Vishnu enters his cosmic sleep, yoga nidra, and Chaturmas begins — the four sacred months of turning inward. From now on, the sky no longer calls us toward outward expansion, but toward discipline, prayer, and inner stillness.

Meanwhile, Mars sits at the 23rd degree of Ta**us — the degree known as the "shockwave," also called the degree of destruction. It is one of those sensitive points of the zodiac associated, throughout time, with natural disasters, with global and personal crises, with moments when something that seemed stable suddenly begins to shake.
Ta**us rules banks, property, personal finances and wealth, food supplies, and the earth itself. Mars ignited at this degree can bring sudden market volatility, surprising financial news, or geological events — earthquakes, severe weather. These are themes we watch at the collective level — without fear, but with clear eyes.

On a personal level, many of us may feel an inner pressure today — that pressure-cooker sensation, the sense of a stagnant situation that can no longer be prolonged. Today it happens. The exact degree alignment of the grand sextile between Pluto, Neptune, Uranus and Jupiter — the configuration anticipated and discussed for years in the astrological world — reaches its point of maximum precision: 10-11 degrees in the sidereal signs, 4-5 degrees of the following sign for those who work tropically. The slow giants of the solar system, the ones who describe not days but epochs, speak to each other today in perfect geometry.

Moments like this do not belong to a single day — they are thresholds of collective time. This is why it is worth paying attention in these days to the news, to the messages and to the ideas being launched right now: what is announced, what is signed, what new concept enters circulation within this window carries the imprint of the alignment and may grow, in the years to come, far beyond its apparent size today. Seeds planted under such a sky have long roots.

On a personal level, perceptions are divided — and it is natural that they should be. The sky asks nothing spectacular of us today. It asks only for presence: to observe what is changing — in the world and within ourselves — and not to pretend we do not see it. Time does the rest.

Ilie și carul său de foc. Ce spune cerul vedic despre proorocul furtunii.

Astăzi, când tună peste dealuri, bătrânii încă spun că Sfântul Ilie își mână carul de foc peste nori. Iar dacă privim această imagine cu ochii astrologiei vedice, descoperim ceva fascinant: Ilie al tradiției noastre populare adună în el, ca într-o sinteză, întregul cer vedic al focului.

Furtuna lui este Indra. În Vedele străvechi, Indra este stăpânul tunetului și al fulgerului — arma sa se numește vajra, trăsnetul de diamant. El despică norii, înfrânge demonii secetei și eliberează ploile de care atârnă recolta. Exact funcția pe care poporul român i-a încredințat-o lui Ilie: „Ilie tună, Ilie trăsnește.” Când bubuie cerul în iulie, țăranul român auzea roțile carului lui Ilie — iar cu mii de ani în urmă, în India, același bubuit era roata carului lui Indra. Doi războinici cerești, aceeași furtună, același rost: pedepsirea întunericului și darul ploii.

Carul lui este Surya. Zeul vedic al Soarelui străbate cerul într-un car de aur tras de șapte cai — imaginea aproape identică cu înălțarea lui Ilie la cer, în carul de foc cu cai de foc. Iar filiera este reală, nu doar poetică: iconografia creștină a lui Ilie a moștenit trăsăturile lui Helios, zeul grec al Soarelui cu carul său — iar Helios și Surya sunt același personaj indo-european străvechi, purtat de popoare diferite sub nume diferite. Când rostim Gayatri mantra, invocăm Savitur — Soarele dătător de viață, cel care își mână carul luminii peste lume. Același car pe care imaginația popoarelor l-a văzut ridicându-l pe Ilie.

Și limba însăși a ajutat această moștenire: în greacă, numele profetului — Ilías — a ajuns să sune aproape identic cu ílios, „soarele”. Nu sunt același cuvânt: Ilie vine din ebraicul Eliyahu, „Domnul este Dumnezeul meu”. Dar urechea popoarelor a auzit ce a vrut să audă — iar proorocul cu nume de soare a primit, firesc, carul lui Helios. Nu întâmplător, în Grecia, capelele Sfântului Ilie stau și astăzi pe vârfuri de munte — exact acolo unde stăteau odinioară altarele închinate Soarelui.

Asprimea lui este Rudra. Cel care „urlă” în furtună, arcașul ceresc ale cărui săgeți sunt fulgerele — temutul și, în același timp, vindecătorul. Ilie cel sever, de ziua căruia nu se lucrează câmpul, care „trăsnește dracii” ascunși, poartă ceva din această sacralitate care sperie și ocrotește deopotrivă. Rudra este, de altfel, zeitatea nakshatrei Ardra — steaua furtunii care purifică, cea care dă numele acestei pagini.

Iar Păliile sunt Maruții. În jurul lui Ilie, tradiția noastră așază Păliile — frații focului, zilele de arșiță și vârtej care pârjolesc miriștile și seacă fântânile, ținute cu teamă și cu respect. În cerul vedic, ele au corespondent exact: Maruții, ceata zeilor furtunii, fiii lui Rudra și însoțitorii nedespărțiți ai lui Indra — tineri înarmați cu fulgere, care gonesc în cete peste cer, stârnind vânturile dinaintea ploii. Marele zeu al furtunii nu umblă niciodată singur: nici în Vede, nici în calendarul popular românesc.

Și iată frumusețea acestui an: sărbătoarea lui Ilie vine exact când Soarele se află în combustie cu Jupiter, în constelația Racului — focul sufletului contopindu-se cu înțelepciunea, în plin sezon al furtunilor de vară. Cerul însuși pare să-și povestească vechea legendă: focul care coboară, ploaia care urmează, pământul care mulțumește.

Popoarele își schimbă limbile și numele zeilor. Dar tunetul sună la fel peste toate veacurile — și peste toate, cineva mână un car de foc.

Moon conjunct Jupiter. The morning that begins with a blessing.

The day opens with the beautiful conjunction between the Moon and Jupiter — one of the gentlest ways a day can begin. Perhaps many of us had beautiful and somehow meaningful dreams, in which we received inspiration or hints about our decisions. Or perhaps the blessing took the simplest form of all: a lovely evening with family, a good dinner, play and innocent laughter — those precious moments that ask for nothing and give everything. Jupiter beside the Moon does exactly this: it enlarges the heart and reminds it of what truly nourishes it.

The Moon is in Shukla Dwitiya — the second day of the waxing phase. The new cycle, seeded on Monday in Punarvasu, is only now opening its first buds, and the energy of these days is one of gentle beginnings: intentions set now grow together with the light.

Mercury has remained with the Sun behind the Moon, in the second position — and, faithful to its retrograde, continues to create tangles with technology and travel plans. 😅 Apps that freeze, messages gone astray, routes changed at the last minute — nothing serious, just the classic signature of the period. Patience and double-checking remain the best travel companions until July 23rd.

And one observation I want to share with you from yesterday, when the new Moon formed in Punarvasu — a nakshatra associated with the element of akash, space, the ether through which sound travels: throughout the day I noted many situations of *noise*. Alarms going off on their own, objects falling, announcements and sounds louder than expected or than the situation called for. Activated akash makes itself heard — quite literally.

The dark Moon in Ardra. Venus on Regulus steps out of the serpent's hold.

In the fourteenth day of the lunation, the Moon stands behind the Sun, nearly hidden from sight, transiting through Ardra — the star of storm and moisture, the nakshatra of Rudra. This is the final breath of the lunar cycle, and the place where it happens gives it its full meaning: today's storm — whether outer, in the summer sky, or inner, in the mind — does not come to destroy, but to purify. Ardra washes before the new beginning. The thoughts that stir now, the emotions that rise without a clear name, are the waters clearing the ground for the approaching new Moon.

Days of the dark Moon in Ardra ask for gentleness with one's own mind: fewer decisions, more observation. What clarifies itself on its own in these hours is worth more than anything we might force into clarity.

The significant event of the day, however, belongs to Venus. In conjunction with Regulus — the star at the heart of the Lion — Venus becomes the first planet to step out of Kala Sarpa Yoga, the configuration that since March has held all the planets caught between Rahu and Ketu, in the symbolic grip of the cosmic serpent. This exit is good news in itself: the first breach in the pattern, the first step outside a circle that has kept repeating for months. And the fact that it is Venus — the planet of love, values and harmony — who opens the way suggests that the liberation begins precisely in these territories: relationships, the heart, what we hold dear.

Yet this same Venus forms today an exact square with Uranus — and here lies the nuance of the day: unpredictability, sensitivity or the unexpected in relationships. A piece of news that changes the tone, a reaction that surprises, a sudden need for freedom — yours or the other's. None of this calls for drama; Uranus does not break what is alive, it only shakes what has grown rigid. Received with flexibility, today's surprises may even free a relationship from a tired pattern.

The Moon transits today through Mrigashira, in sidereal Gemini — communicative, talkative and forever seeking. Mrigashira is the star of the deer that pursues something more beautiful, more true, always a little further ahead — and on a Sunday, this energy translates naturally into lively conversations, curiosity and the desire to be among people.

Throughout today and tomorrow, the Moon crosses the region of Orion — and tradition observes that this passage sometimes translates into storms, showers and summer rains. The outer sky may mirror, as it so often does, what moves within the inner one.

The central event of the day, however, is Mercury’s meeting with the Sun — the cazimi, the inferior conjunction, the one that occurs only when Mercury is retrograde. This is the very core of the entire retrograde period: the moment when Mercury passes through the heart of the Sun and receives, symbolically, a new light. Mercurial qualities can be exceptional today — brilliant ideas, precise intuitions, sudden clarity about matters that have been under revision for weeks. But they arrive in an unusual, original form, sometimes difficult for others to grasp. The mind sees clearly, yet expression may remain a step behind.

For this reason, the same day also calls for practical caution: travel or outing plans may be modified or diverted, and mistakes can slip into communication projects. The conjunction takes place in Punarvasu — the nakshatra of renewal, of retrying, of resuming and returning — and this is its true message: what does not come out perfectly on the first attempt carries today the blessing of being redone. The Moon transits today through the Pleiades and enters sidereal Ta**us, where she meets Uranus — a conjunction that brings unpredictability and changes of plans. What was settled may take another form, something may break or fail and require replacement, and the day carries an overall quality of the unexpected that asks for flexibility. With Uranus, the wisest plan is the one that leaves room for adjustment.

Venus, ruler of this Friday and of the sign the Moon steps into, reaches today her exact degree conjunction with Ketu, the south node. This meeting is an invitation to tact in relationships and to moderation in all things — Ketu touches precisely the chord of pride, and wounded egos, sudden detachments or unannounced coldness are its typical manifestations. And yet the same conjunction has a luminous face as well: liberation from a situation of obligation, release from an attachment that no longer nourished, a clarification of what truly matters in love beyond form and validation.

Thus he was freed from the curse and reunited with what he had lost.

This is why it is said that whoever prays and fasts on this day receives liberation from sins, from illness and from limitations. Beyond the form, the message remains for each of us: today we can work consciously with the energy of release — through a chosen renunciation, a forgiveness offered, a fast held with intention, or simply through the courage to let go of what has been keeping us bound.

After midday, however, she crosses the gandantha of Pisces — the delicate threshold between the water that ends and the fire that begins, the knot between the absolute end of the zodiac and its very first step — and enters sidereal Aries, in Ashwini, the star of the celestial healers.

The Moon's passage through gandantha brings a few hours of heightened sensitivity, in which emotions may feel suspended between two worlds — a subtle, nameless restlessness that settles on its own once the threshold has been crossed.

And the destination of this crossing carries a clear message: Ashwini is the nakshatra of the two divine healers, the physicians of the gods — and the Moon remains today, throughout the entire day, in conjunction with Chiron, the wounded healer of astrology. This meeting doubles the theme of healing: concerns for health and improvement, therapies of any kind, gestures of care toward body and soul are deeply supported today. Jupiter, in the fourth position from the Moon, aligns with the star Tegmen — the shell of the Crab — activating influences of protection and defense: the need for safety, the instinct to protect what is vulnerable. The shadow of this energy deserves attention: the shell can also become suspicion or exaggerated reactivity. Wise protection remains open; only fear closes itself completely.

The sky of these days also carries a distinct collective signature: multiple activations of water. Neptune retrograde, Mercury retrograde, Uranus in the Pleiades — the sisters of the rains — and Saturn beside the Moon in Revati, the nakshatra of the ocean. This accumulation is a specific signature for weather events and for news related to waters, oceans and technologies.

Revati completes, gandantha dissolves, Ashwini heals. Today guides us through all three — and at its end, the invitation remains that of the celestial healers: care for what can be cared for, beginning with yourself.
