POV: I, AS A MIGRANT WORKER WHO DEALS WITH A DIVERSE CULTURE EVERYDAY, ANOTHER ONE OPPOSED TO HAVE IMMIGRANTS IN THEIR WAY. BLAME IS NOT INEVITABLE, BUT HOPE, STILL WILL BE-MY WAY. speech.
😇🙏🏻☕️
So ayun na nga napanuod ko itong video clip na ito.
At ito na nga ang naisip kong “I often think about” reponse to her sa “think about moments nya”.
Kayo ba? Ano ang mga “I often think about” nyo?
Bigla nalng kasi tong naco-construct sa mind ko, so i need to write it down as my diary.
I often think about the connection between corruption, poverty, and migration. Many people say migration is a choice, but for countless families, it feels more like a necessity than an option.
People do not leave their homes, families, and cultures simply because they want to. They leave because poverty, deprivation, and corruption have limited their opportunities and their hope for a better future. When basic needs, fair wages, quality education, healthcare, and honest governance are lacking, migration becomes a path to survival and dignity.
This does not excuse crime, nor does it suggest that poverty inevitably leads to criminal behavior. Rather, it highlights how systemic problems can push people into desperate circumstances. Addressing corruption and inequality is not only about economic growth—it is about giving people the genuine freedom to choose where and how they want to live.
As a migrant worker who interacts with diverse cultures every day, I see both acceptance and resistance. Some welcome immigrants, while others oppose their presence and place blame on them for broader social problems. From my perspective, blame is not inevitable. Despite differences, misunderstandings, and challenges, I believe hope remains a better path, one built on empathy and recognizing our shared humanity.
And I thank you. 🙏🏻🌻❤️
