For someone living with ALS, breathing can slowly become the hardest part of the day.
This Sunday, 21 June, the world marks Global ALS/MND Awareness Day, held on the summer solstice as a symbol of light, strength, and the resilience of everyone affected by this disease.
ALS (also known as MND, motor neurone disease) gradually weakens the muscles, including the ones we rely on to breathe. As it progresses, the right respiratory support can make a real difference to a person's comfort, independence, and the time they spend at home with the people they love.
At Breas, we believe in a world where everyone breathes better. Today, we stand with the patients, families, and clinicians who meet ALS with extraordinary courage, and we honour every one of them. 💙
