Happy or today! Can you believe it's already March? Went to light a candle for blessings and good health to all.
Had a harrowing traffic incident yesterday with an elderly friend. Car stalled in the middle of incoming traffic and we had to get out to try pushing it, but it started sliding downslope, so not viable.
We got in to try starting it again and against all odds, the old car came to life, enough to be able to roll over in front of a Christian playschool, where the caretaker was trying to shoo us away from the gate. By now, we realised the car was burning hot, and that it was out of water.
We explained the situation, surely they would help, even though reluctant at first. We topped up the water, seeing it boil over repeatedly, and eventually made it to a workshop.
Reflecting, I joked with my friend, a staunch atheist, that he was saved by Jesus today, and me Guanyin ma😅.
At some point, he was stressed when the car repeatedly couldn't start, while I was hoping not to be a statistic of the Fire Horse year. But each micro decision we made staying calm, helped us overcome the issues at each step.
He said it was lucky we met as otherwise no one could have helped him, and that it was lucky it didn't happen today when he was travelling to Johor with his friend and family. The workshop threw up other issues that needed fixing but said we were lucky it didn't blow, cos the water tank was leaking already.
I don't think it was simple as "luck" , but rather some form of from different sources going on as I could see the catastrophic alternatives in my mind.
But yea, close shave. Hope no one has to face such situations in the months that are left. So not too bad if the year flies by us quickly isn't it? 😄
