Your words. Their music. Our community.

At SPCC 2026, the Association for Music Therapy Singapore (AMTS) collected lyrics from attendees at their interactive space and wove them into something beautiful — 'A Song of the Palliative Care Community'. It is a homage to the palliative care journey. May it allow us to pause and be encouraged as a community. 🎵 Thank you, AMTS, for bringing the words to life.

Day 1 of the Singapore Palliative Care Conference 2026 has come to a meaningful close.

We were honoured to have Guest of Honour Mr Ong Ye Kung join us at the opening, setting the tone for this year’s theme, “Weaving Dreams, Reimagining Care.” The ceremony began with a moving dance performance by the Singapore Chinese Dance Theatre, beautifully bringing the theme to life through artistry and expression.

From insightful discussions to heartfelt conversations, today was a powerful reminder of the collective effort needed to shape the future of palliative care.

We are delighted to have the Lien Foundation as the Strategic Partner of the Singapore Palliative Care Conference 2026.

Since 2023, Since 2023, the Lien Foundation has invested in 12 initiatives that integrate palliative care across medical specialties and community settings. Their work reflects a powerful belief: that palliative care is not confined to a single discipline, but is a shared responsibility across the healthcare ecosystem.

This partnership champions a critical shift in mindset that palliative care should be introduced earlier in the trajectory of life-limiting illness, not only at the end of life. By focusing on symptom management, quality of life, and care aligned with what matters most, more patients and families can benefit from timely, compassionate support.

As we count down to SPCC 2026 in just one day, we are grateful for partners who continue to support learning in palliative care.

Goh Foundation has established Goh Foundation Innovation in Supportive and Palliative Care (INSPiRE) Programme, an academic fund dedicated to advancing education and training in supportive and palliative care.

Through this philanthropic gesture, S$10,000 will sponsor nurses and allied health professionals from SingHealth institutions to attend the Singapore Palliative Care Conference (SPCC) 2026. We thank Goh Foundation for this generous support and look forward to welcoming the delegates to the conference as they deepen their knowledge and skills to better care for patients and families.

By investing in people and learning, the Goh Foundation is helping to build capacity within the healthcare community, ensuring that high-quality care continues to reach those who need it most. A big thank you to everyone who joined us for a full day of learning, sharing, and inspiration at the SHC-SPCC Research Development Workshop on 8 April 2025! 🔍

We were honoured to welcome keynote speakers Prof Patsy Yates, Prof Jennifer Philip, and Prof Helen Chan, for enriching our discussions and broadening our perspectives on palliative care research and innovation.

Our aspiring researchers also took to the stage to present their ideas—receiving feedback from an esteemed panel including Prof Cheung Yin Bun, Dr Noreen Chan, and Dr Paul Victor Patinadan.
