KKH Paediatric Surgery teamed up with volunteers from NTU Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine for Bowel & Bladder Day 2026 โ€“ a fun-filled day with our children living with chronic bowel and bladder conditions and their families!

From inclusive games to new friendships, the day celebrated our children's resilience. We were especially inspired by those who bravely shared their personal journeys. ๐Ÿคฉ

Events like these โ€“ which also supports the Parentsโ€™ Support Group, established in 2024 โ€“ create a safe space for families to connect, share tips, and support one another. No family should navigate this journey alone.

What happens when used childrenโ€™s aprons, nursing uniforms and scrubs get a second life? They become 450 one-of-a-kind tote bags! ๐Ÿ’šโ™ป๏ธ

Instead of going to waste, these pre-loved fabrics were creatively upcycled into tote bags for attendees of KKH's 2nd Developmental Paediatrics Conference.

Our Allied Health Professionals teamed up with the KKH Committee for Sustainable Health to collect 267kg of preloved materials across SingHealth โ€” with 27% transformed into practical bags that'll see plenty of daily use.

Sustainability is woven into everything we do. With a little creativity, old materials find new purpose โ€” and we all play a part in caring for our planet. ๐Ÿ’–

Meet Jayden (not his real name): a cheerful, Pokemon-loving seven-year-old. He is talkative, bright and friendly โ€” yet each day he navigates a world that is not always built for his unique mind.

Autism is not a straight line from "mild" to "severe." It is a unique mix of traits that looks different in every person, and can shift across life stages. This crucial understanding helps us better support individuals and families living with autism.
