Dr Choo Su Pin recently completed a series of engagements across India β€” Bengaluru, Mumbai and Delhi β€” presenting to distinguished oncologists on the role of CLDN18.2 as a therapeutic target in advanced gastric cancer, alongside guidance on the management of associated adverse events.

The programme began in Bengaluru with an interactive session chaired by Dr Vinayak Maka. In Mumbai, Dr Choo Su Pin contributed to the Next Gen Therapies for GI Cancers symposium, chaired by Dr Pouru Dhabhar, and joined the Mumbai oncology community in celebrating Prof SH Advani's 76th birthday. The engagements concluded in Delhi at the Precision Treatment in Gastric & GEJ Cancer meeting, chaired by Dr Shyam Aggarwal.

It was a privilege to engage with India's senior pioneer oncologists and to witness the depth of expertise and commitment within the Indian oncology community.

Dr Joline Lim was honoured to serve as a panelist at an evening symposium on the latest advances in the treatment of metastatic breast cancer.

Together with colleagues from our national centres, we were delighted to welcome Professor Junji Tsurutani, a key investigator in the landmark DESTINY-Breast and TROPION-Breast studies, which have contributed to FDA and HSA approvals of novel antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs) in breast cancer.

Prof Tsurutani shared his invaluable experience with these emerging treatments, and through engaging case discussions, our local oncology community gained deeper insights into optimising the use of these novel therapies and better supporting patients throughout their breast cancer journey. πŸ’ͺπŸ»πŸŽ€

Colore**al cancer is increasingly affecting younger adults, making awareness and early detection more important than ever.

Together with our partner, Ciputra Cancer Center, we were pleased to host Gut Health 101, where our Medical Oncologist, Dr. Choo Su Pin, joined Dr. Inolyn Pandjaitan, SpPD-KHOM, in discussing digestive health, colore**al cancer in younger adults, and the importance of timely screening with insurance professionals, policyholders, and members of the community in Jakarta.

Events like these highlight the value of international collaboration in making evidence-based cancer education more accessible and empowering people to make informed health decisions.

We look forward to many more opportunities to learn, collaborate, and improve cancer care together.

Dr. Choo Su Pin shared the role of ctDNA testing to guide chemotherapy decisions for early stage colon cancer patients β€” a promising step towards personalized cancer care. She also gave a second lecture on molecular profiling and liquid biopsies in re**al cancers to an audience of colore**al surgeons.

Another great highlight from this year's congress in Kuala Lumpur, where the 33rd Biennial Congress of ISUCRS joined forces with the 6th Biennial Congress of SELSMAR under the theme "Innovations and Collaborations in Colore**al Surgery: Bridging Tradition and Technology in a Global Village." The event brought together leading colore**al surgeons from around the world to exchange knowledge on both time-honored techniques and cutting-edge advancements shaping the future of colore**al surgery.

Together with our partner, Ciputra Cancer Center, we were proud to be part of the Molecular Oncology Forum in Jakarta. Dr. John Chia illustrated the new FIGO molecular classification through a series of patient cases, while Dr. Choo Su Pin explored how molecular insights are reshaping the management of gastric cancer. Complementing these sessions, Dr. Lyana Setiawan, Clinical Pathologist from Dharmais National Cancer Center, highlighted the expanding role of genomic testing in Indonesia.

The forum concluded with interactive case discussions presented by Dr. Findy Prasetyawati and Dr. Inolyn Pandjaitan from Ciputra Cancer Center, joined by Dr. Francis Chin and a multidisciplinary panel of oncologists, surgeons, and radiologists. Together, they demonstrated how collaboration across specialties translates molecular insights into better clinical decisions and improved patient care.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for an engaging morning of learning and collaboration.

Dr Joline Lim was invited to speak at the Oncology Summit in the Philippines, presenting the latest ASCO 2026 updates on treatment advances in hormone receptor-positive and HER2-positive advanced breast cancer.

Progress in these subgroups continues at a rapid pace β€” with several novel therapies gaining FDA approval this year, patients now have more treatment options than ever before. Choosing the right drug at the right time has become an increasingly nuanced decision, and helping patients navigate these choices while preserving quality of life remains a central priority in modern oncology care.

Grateful for the engaging discussions and opportunity to exchange insights and best practices with the Philippine oncology community!
