Achilles tendon pain after running is easy to brush off at first.
It may start as stiffness in the morning, soreness after a run, or tenderness at the back of the heel that seems to settle, then comes back again.
For many runners, the issue is not just the tendon itself. It is often the result of repeated overload. That can happen when mileage increases too quickly, hill sessions are added, shoes wear out, or the way you move places extra stress on the Achilles.
At The Foot Practice, we look beyond the painful spot. We assess your gait, footwear, training load and lower-limb mechanics to understand what may be driving the problem.
