JurongHealth Campus Known as the JurongHealth Campus, the NTFGH and JCH are members of the NUHS.

The Ng Teng Fong General Hospital (NTFGH) and Jurong Community Hospital (JCH) are members of the National University Health System (NUHS), a leading academic health system and one of three public healthcare clusters in Singapore. Known as the JurongHealth Campus, NTFGH and JCH are Singapore’s first integrated healthcare development designed and built together from the ground up. Designed around th

e patients’ needs, the twin development enables NTFGH patients who no longer require acute care to be easily transferred to rehabilitate and recuperate in JCH. Both hospitals are also managed by one healthcare team to facilitate integration at all levels to enable better patient care, greater efficiency and convenience. NTFGH is also the first in Singapore and ASEAN to attain HIMSS EMRAM Stage 7, with JCH at HIMSS EMRAM Stage 6 – an achievement which recognises hospitals with the highest level of adoption and utilisation of electronic medical record functions. We are honoured to receive the Excellence Award (Most Sustainable Hospital 2026) at this year’s Hospital Management Asia Awards, recognising our “From Waste to Worth: Sustainable Reuse of Reverse Osmosis (RO) Reject Water in the Kidney Unit” project!

Held alongside the annual Hospital Management Asia conference, the awards recognise innovative and progressive projects undertaken by hospitals across the region to improve healthcare outcomes. This year’s awards ceremony was held in Bangkok yesterday.

The project pioneered the recovery and reuse of RO reject water generated by dialysis services, making NTFGH the first hospital in Singapore to implement a hospital-based water recovery and reuse initiative.

Since 2025, the team has captured and repurposed about 70% of dialysis RO reject water for landscape irrigation, saving approximately 9 million litres of potable water each year.

This initiative demonstrates how we can rethink conventional practices and turn waste into a resource, while delivering environmental and operational benefits without compromising patient safety or reliability. This Teachers’ Day, we celebrate the mentors who shape us — in and beyond the classroom!

For NTFGH’s Nurse Educator Govri D/O Mykle, the journey from nurse to educator and back to nursing has come full circle.

Govri began her nursing career 22 years ago, before taking a different path into education. She spent 14 years as an ITE lecturer, where she taught nursing to more than 1,000 students, before returning to the healthcare setting in 2022 as a Nurse Educator at NTFGH.

Earlier this year, we collaborated with Ngee Ann Polytechnic’s community and arts service club m52 to create “Sweet Memories of Singapore”, an exhibition featuring patients’ artworks inspired by local food and the memories they evoke.

The project, which is part of the Arts&Health programme by JurongHealth Campus, brought JCH patients and students together through art, creating opportunities for creative expression, conversations and connections across generations. Earlier this month, we held the JurongHealth Learning Festival 2026, returning for its second year following the launch of the JurongHealth Academy (JHA) in 2025.

Going beyond traditional talks and classroom simulations, this year’s festival gave staff opportunities to learn through immersive experiences, hands-on simulations, design thinking workshops and a learning visit to the Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT) × NVIDIA AI Centre.

Across the week, colleagues stepped out of their usual learning environments, explored new ideas and gained fresh perspectives that can be brought back to the workplace.

Because learning is not just about gaining knowledge — it’s about turning what we learn into better ways of working, collaborating and caring for our patients and community.

Our Care Connect Hub programme, supported by JurongHealth Fund, is a hospital-based programme that provides structured post-discharge support for patients with complex chronic conditions, helping them navigate the transition from hospital to home.

Yesterday, NTFGH signed a collaboration agreement with Loving Heart Multi-Service Centre (Loving Heart). Through this partnership, trained volunteers from Loving Heart will serve as Community Carers, supporting selected high-risk patients living in the Jurong East vicinity who are identified through the Care Connect Hub.

Over its two-year pilot, the Care Connect Hub aims to reach about 1,000 high-risk patients across the western region by identifying social and health risks early, facilitating timely referrals to healthcare and community services, and supporting patients to stay well at home.

More than 300 participants from healthcare, logistics, infrastructure, energy, pharmaceuticals, academia and government sectors came together earlier this morning at the Sustainability Nexus Forum 2026, our first cross-industry sustainability forum.

Graced by Guest-of-Honour Dr Janil Puthucheary, Senior Minister of State for Sustainability and the Environment and Senior Minister of State for Education, the forum brought together leaders and sustainability practitioners to exchange practical experiences and explore how different sectors can work together on climate action and sustainable transformation.

Discussions spanned energy efficiency and decarbonisation, climate resilience, sustainable infrastructure, circular resource management and sustainable supply chains, with international participants joining virtually to share perspectives across borders.

As we navigate the challenges of climate change, collaboration across industries will be key to building a more resilient and sustainable future. We look forward to turning these conversations into meaningful partnerships and action.
