We are excited to celebrate the amazing creativity and voices showcased in our SCOPH Writing Competition.

Congratulations to Neneh Umu Kabia, our 1st Place Winner, for an outstanding and impactful piece that truly stood out.

A big congratulations to Nancy Naomi Ben-Foday, our 2nd Place Winner, whose thoughtful and inspiring work captured our attention.

And congratulations to our 3rd Place Winners, Kartha Murana and Jared Augustus Sankoh-Hughes, for their impressive submissions and dedication to sharing their ideas.

Theme: Medical Students Taking the Lead for Health Equity and Public Health Action.

The symposium provided a valuable platform for insightful discussions, knowledge sharing, and meaningful learning on critical public health issues. We were honored to host esteemed speakers and participants whose presence enriched the experience.A special thank you to our dedicated trainers for their time, expertise and guidance, your contributions were instrumental in making this event a success.

We also commend the participants of the essay competition for their outstanding efforts. The winners were duly recognized and awarded their prizes.

Through clear thoughts and honest words, ideas move beyond the page and into action.This writing competition invites medical students to use their voice to address public health issues in Sierra Leone with insight, originality, and purpose .
Topic: A Public Health Problem in Sierra Leone and the Action I Would Take as a Medical Student.
Prizes will be awarded to the winner, first and second runner up.
Use of AI in any form will lead to disqualification.
