The Longevity Industry Has a Credibility Problem.
Over the last few months, while building a longevity project in Asia, I’ve become increasingly convinced that the future of longevity won’t be built on supplements, hype, or marketing claims.

The next generation of longevity will be driven by AI diagnostics, biomarkers, precision medicine, and technologies that can demonstrate measurable health outcomes.

We’re actively looking for MedTech, AI-health, and biomarker platforms to integrate into our project.

Thailand Is Making a Strategic Bet on the Life Economy

Thailand is actively shifting toward a new economic model — the Life Economy, where health, longevity, and quality of life are no longer just social priorities, but a full-scale investment market.

This is not a passing trend. It is a government-backed strategy, supported by concrete policies and incentives designed to attract international investors.

Why I Believe Hotels Are One of the Most Undervalued Investment Opportunities of 2026

During the past two years, I have spoken with dozens of hotel owners across Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

Many are facing rising operating costs, staffing challenges, increasing regulatory requirements and changing guest expectations.

As a result, more hotel properties are coming to the market.

Some owners are actively seeking exits.

Others are willing to accept discounts that would have been unthinkable just a few years ago.

Many investors see risk.

I see opportunity. Not because hotel operations have become easier.
But because the entire hospitality industry is about to be reinvented.

The traditional hotel model is reaching its limits.

For decades, hotels competed through location, room quality, food and service.

Those factors remain important, but they are no longer enough.

Bangkok was never supposed to be a longevity destination.

For decades, the city built its medical reputation on affordable surgery and dental tourism — a pragmatic value proposition for cost-conscious travelers. But something shifted quietly over the past five years.

The infrastructure that made Bangkok a medical hub internationally accredited hospitals, a deep pool of English-speaking physicians, seamless connectivity to the rest of Asia — turned out to be exactly the foundation that longevity hospitality requires.

I’ve spent 30 years developing real estate across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. I’ve watched markets mature, missed a few waves, caught a few others.

When I relocated to Bangkok and began studying the longevity and wellness space in Southeast Asia, I recognized something I hadn’t seen since the early days of boutique hotel development in Europe: a market at the precise inflection point where infrastructure meets demand, but before institutional capital has arrived.
That window doesn’t stay open long.

Since 2023, Sergey Vakhnenko has been actively working at the intersection of longevity, welltech, medical hospitality, and real estate development.

Together with an international team across Southeast Asia, he is developing the concept of New ERA Longevity — a new hospitality model combining:
health optimization, recovery, biohacking, preventive healthcare, AI & welltech, and premium lifestyle experiences.

The vision is simple:
the future of hospitality will no longer be only about luxury and accommodation.
It will increasingly focus on energy, recovery, healthspan, and quality of life.

Thailand and Southeast Asia are rapidly becoming global hubs for this new longevity-driven economy.

A very exciting time for building businesses at the intersection of wellness, healthcare, technology, and hospitality.

Medicine is moving into wellness Asia is leading.

I continue meeting doctors shaping the future of prevention and recovery tomorrow with an orthopedic surgeon working with Thailand’s national football team.
For the 40+ business audience, the real problem isn’t injury, it’s chronic load and the key question is how to avoid surgery, not treat it.
I’m building a medically-driven wellness & longevity concept in Southeast Asia and open to connect with doctors and investors who see this shift early. 🇹🇭

If you’ve ever been on a retreat, did the benefits still last 3 months later—or did everything fade away?

How often do you “reset” yourself?
And how often would you like to?

How do you deal with fatigue or burnout?

For me:
• 30–40 minutes every evening
• Around 4 hours of SPA/self-care on weekends (onsen, sauna, or hyperbaric oxygen therapy) + meditation
• And whenever possible, traveling or going on a retreat at least once every three months

I’m building an ecosystem in the wellness and longevity space in Asia.

Would love to hear about your experience or perspective in the comments.

The first — and very important — stage is complete.

I’ve explored many areas across Thailand, reviewed dozens of land plots and properties, and spent an incredible amount of time. But there’s no shortcut here — and honestly, AI was only a limited help in this phase.

What matters is that today I have clarity:
a clear understanding of where and how to start.

I’m starting with Bangkok.
There are specific districts identified for the first Medical Retreat, and a solid understanding of locations for a more urban, lighter-format Wellness Social Club.

This is where the most interesting phase begins —
where success is defined by access to the right opportunities.
