Maha Shivaratri falls on Sunday, 15 February 2026 – the sacred “great night of Shiva” (Shivaratri = night devoted to Lord Shiva’s worship and meditation).

This is the deep midnight window when Shiva‑tattva (Shiva’s subtle presence) is said to be most powerful.

✅ Ideal time for abhishek (ritual bathing of the Shiva‑linga), mantra‑japa, and silent meditation.
🌙 Four Ratri Prahar Puja Timings
Prahar = segment of the night. You can do a simple puja, offer water and bilva leaves, and chant “Om Namah Shivaya” in any or all of these:
1️⃣ First Prahar – 6:14 pm to 9:17 pm
2️⃣ Second Prahar – 9:17 pm to 12:20 am
3️⃣ Third Prahar – 12:20 am to 3:23 am
4️⃣ Fourth Prahar – 3:23 am to 6:26 am
