This page is organized by one Master student in Community Counseling from Taiwan. This page welcome everyone in any fields with the commitment to human dignity. Once every two weeks, we will introduce WHO Mental Health issues and MHPSS.net efforts through this page. The intention is to mobilize local individuals, professionals, and organizations by providing the options of online learning community and working group, MHPSS Taiwan. Build capacity to understand and promote MHPSS in community.
2. Create community based and training oriented services that respect and promote MHPSS.
3. Improve the quality of MHPSS conditions in inpatient, outpatient and community based mental health and related service.
4. Develop a civil society movement to conduct advocacy and influence policy-making to promote MHPSS
5. Reform national policies and legialation in line with best practice, the CRPD and other international human rights standards.

New publication alert 📣 Disarmament, demobilization and reintegration and mental health and psychosocial support: operational guidance.

The recently published operational guidance from WHO, UNICEF and the UN Peacebuilding and Peace Support Office (PBPSO) identifies key issues, strategic and programmatic entry points for strengthening mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS) within disarmament, demobilization and reintegration (DDR). It was developed based upon existing guidance, international standards, expert consultations and practitioner experience.

The operational guidance seeks to be a tool for advocacy, standardisation, and building consensus around practice. To strengthen the approach to MHPSS in DDR settings, the operational guidance highlights 11 key issues. For example, a key issue is to recognize DDR as a mental health and psychosocial process as much as an economic and political one. The operational guidance includes specific links to existing guidance and standards to support implementation.
