Bwindi Hospital Builds Neonatal Care Capacity in Kanungu

Bwindi Community Hospital recently concluded a transformative 5-day neonatal training program, designed to strengthen the skills of healthcare providers in caring for small and sick newborns.

The training that was led by the Bwindi Community Hospital Pediatrician, Dr. Daphine Ansiimire brought together doctors, nurses, and midwives from health centers in Kanungu district.

The neonatal training was organized to address critical gaps in newborn care, particularly in rural settings where access to specialized services is limited.

Emergency Training at Bwindi Community Hospital

At , we believe that every second counts in an emergency.

This week, we are privileged to host Brenda Kirkley and a team of Emergency specialists from the United States, who are providing refresher training for our staff as well as the community members, including Boda Boda riders, porters, and UWA rangers.

Today, they trained Nursing students in rapid response techniques.

We believe that this training will strengthen our ability to serve our community with confidence and compassion.

Big thanks to Brenda and team for empowering our staff, students and community in emergency care.
