🚐🇺🇸 Mesa Springs is helping make the GRIT Veteran & Senior Resource Fair easier to attend!

We’ll be providing complimentary transportation from the parking area to the entrance for veterans, seniors, families, and anyone who may need a little extra assistance getting inside.

Because the only “long journey” that day should be walking around to visit all the amazing resources, not crossing a hot Texas parking lot. 😂☀️

Just look for the Mesa Springs shuttle team, and we’ll help get you where you need to go safely and comfortably.

🎤😂 When the karaoke machine comes out at Mesa Springs, it HAS to get used!

There is no such thing as “just testing the microphone” around here. Once that mic turns on, somebody is becoming the headliner, the staff becomes the backup dancers, and the activity room officially turns into a sold-out concert. 🎶😎

Our resident grabbed the microphone, picked her audience, and performed like she had been waiting all week for her big break! The talent was real, the confidence was high, and the volume was… respectfully enthusiastic. 😂

At Mesa Springs, activities like karaoke bring residents and staff together through music, movement, laughter, and unforgettable moments.

Big voices. Big laughs. Even bigger fun! 💙

Accessibility Matters to Us.

One of the questions we've received is why we chose the Taylor County Expo Center for the GRITs Veteran & Senior Resources Fair.

The answer is simple: because it allows us to bring more than 70 organizations together under one roof so veterans, seniors, caregivers, and their families can access everything they need in one place.

We also understand that accessibility is more than what's inside the building.

That's why we've taken additional steps to make attending easier:

✅ Courtesy transportation from the parking area to the entrance will be available thanks to our partners at Mesa Springs Healthcare Center.

✅ The Taylor County Coliseum has undergone significant renovations in recent years, including remodeled restrooms and accessible features throughout the facility. The Expo Center also notes handicap accessibility, elevators, ramps, and accessible entrances as part of its renovated venue.

✅ A loading and unloading circle is available near the entrance for those who need assistance.

Our mission has always been simple:

Remove barriers—not create them.

If you have a mobility concern before the event, please reach out. We want every veteran, senior, caregiver, and family member to feel welcomed, supported, and able to enjoy the day.

Because that's what GRIT is all about.

Meet Adrian Burse—our incredible Transportation Coordinator by day and an amazingly talented professional saxophonist by night.

Whether he's safely taking our residents to appointments, community outings, or welcoming them with his positive attitude, Adrian always goes the extra mile. His kindness, professionalism, and contagious smile make every trip feel first class.

Then, when the workday is over... 🎷✨

He picks up his saxophone and fills the room with smooth jazz that leaves audiences smiling just as much as our residents do.
