The entire message of Christianity is that you are Broken, weak, Sinful and inherently Bad.

Then it tells you, that Jesus through the church can fix you. You are nothing without them.

Why is God making life harder than easier?

Affirmation Today:
Inner core power is my practice of honoring my safety, my approval and my autonomy.

When I am functioning properly, I stop looking to my work, my God, and other people to prove my value and approval.

This might look easy but this is difficult.

Why?
Because I was raised as a child in a chaotic home, and my parents and their parents, felt unsafe in the uncertainty of WW2 or the economic deppressions, and their ONLY solution was to look to God, or outside of themselves to feel safe.

I no longer live inside my family's pain and fears. I allow my religious family to feel they are still triggered and in danger.

But I live truly free and fully alive. ❤️

I am a person.

Persons have rights in human societies.

Gods don't have rights in human societies.

For God to be "given" rights, humans have to give those rights. Therefore gods depend on humans to receive rights.

That's why inside churches, it will FEEL like God can have rights.

Why do people stay in church long after they know that Church is hurting them?

Once upon a time, there exist a Rescuer God, who promised He would help and would always come.

Then there also exists a victim congregation, expecting God to help. This congregation would wait for him for many years.

Lastly, there's always SOMEONE always making excuses for why the rescue didn't come. They're called toxic pastors.

And as a church member, you were supposed to keep waiting.

That leaves you feeling "You are alone here. No one is going to protect you."

Once upon a time, there exist a Rescuer God, who promised He would help . . . the cycle goes on.

No one lives happy ever after.
Because confronting abusers is messy. Confrontation feels chaotic.

All of these discussions lie INSIDE OF CHURCH.

Outside of church,
God, Jesus, Sin, Heaven, Hell or torment doesn't exist.

The discussion outside church is,
LIFE.

Who are you?
What do you want?
What is meaningful in your life outside of church?
Are you happy at work, with family?

Whether church enhances this or church complicates and devalues life is a CHOICE a person deserves to make.

Because every person deserves Autonomy. ❤️

Inside Church, people punish trivial facts that many remote tribes worry about, like relating to God or morality.

Modern society don't concern themselves with these things anymore.

Modern societies become secular because there's no drama about God or community cohesion for survival.

You just live Life. There's laws that guide you if you are stepping onto other people.

Clue: Churchgoers invite nosy Pastors to tell them if they are obedient enough. That's their choice.

I have seen a lot of Non-Christians criticize Christian Values.

There are a lot we don't like in Christianity. And I believe to Design your own values, is a lot harder than you would think.

The easier thing is to criticize Christian values. Of course Christian beliefs sound like Christian belief. But it's their design.

Since you deconverted, you are aware you have the power not just to know what you don't like, you can define what you WANT.

Designing Life includes more than knowing what you DONT want. (Christian Beliefs)

A company doesn't exist until someone believes in it. He files the SEC papers, to "make it real". Ask the natives of Africa whether the company exist. It does not.

Beliefs are as real as people need them to be.

When people keep selling a company's share despite it's papers, it's existence need to file bankruptcy.

Fear-based religion and communities does not merely teach ideas. It conditions the nervous system.

When certain beliefs are introduced very early to children, especially beliefs connected to eternal punishment, abandonment and worthiness.

They become psychologically and emotionally embedded at a very deep level. The level of identity.

That's why after deconversion, Bible verses keep popping up in places that one doesn't want anymore, and hope the mind would shut up.

That doesn't mean that Logic has stopped working. It means that you are totally human. ❤️

Life can be confusing because church can offer people what they don't know they need.

Christians take risks to feel Community is better than Autonomy.

The greater the Risk investment, the greater the reward - Belonging , Benefit. In a healthy church, it bings safety.

But there's the risk:

The greater the Risk, the greater the loss, you belong to other people, you belong to Jesus.

We live in Modern society. No one forced people to church. But needy and desperate people will use Jesus and Church as a drug.

And that's why we have laws to regulate human transactions.
