When Justice Wears a Blindfold…

Based on a true story.

A woman once said to me,

“It wasn’t strangers fighting over my mother’s inheritance. It was my own siblings.

I learned that just because we share the same parents doesn’t mean we share the same values.

Character is not inherited—it is chosen.”

Her question stayed with me:

“If the court doesn’t see the truth… who does?”

I answered,

“The courtroom may close at five o’clock, but God’s courtroom never closes.”

Sometimes the wicked appear to win through greed, deception, or corruption.

But appearances are not God’s reality.

The greatest inheritance we can leave our children is not money or property—it is a legacy of faith, integrity, compassion, and truth.

“For God will bring every deed into judgment, including every hidden thing, whether it is good or evil.”
— Ecclesiastes 12:14

True Love Protects What It Treasures

Trust is one of the greatest gifts we can give another person. It can take years to build, yet only seconds to break. Once broken, it takes humility, consistency, and genuine change to restore.

Love is not measured only by words. It is revealed through our daily choices—how we protect one another, how we speak to one another, and how we stand beside each other when life becomes difficult.

Recently, a couple came to see me after years of hurt and broken trust. Their marriage was not falling apart because they had stopped loving each other. It was falling apart because they had stopped protecting one another. Outside influences, painful words, and a lack of healthy boundaries had quietly replaced the safety they once shared.

The turning point came when one simple question was asked:

“Are you protecting your marriage, or are you protecting your ego?”

That question changed everything.

Real love does not ask, “How do I protect myself?”
It asks, “How do I protect us?”

Every lasting relationship requires sacrifice. To someone looking from the outside, those sacrifices may seem costly. But to two people whose hearts are truly united, they become expressions of love rather than burdens.

Pride builds walls. Love builds bridges.

True love protects what it treasures.
Broken trust is fragile.

As King Solomon wisely wrote:

“Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart.”
— Proverbs 3:3

Protect your spouse. Protect your family. Protect your peace. When two people choose each other every day, they create a foundation that can withstand life’s greatest storms.

The Kindness That Reveals the Heart ❤️

Today I witnessed someone quietly struggling to pay for her groceries. Before embarrassment could become her burden, I chose to help.

As I drove home, I couldn’t stop thinking about it.

Perhaps God places people in our path not by accident, but because He is inviting us to become part of the answer.

The Bible tells us that Rebekah’s kindness revealed her heart long before her beauty was ever mentioned.

Beauty may catch the eye. Character captures the heart.

Never forget—by the grace of God, any one of us could be the person in need. The greatest wealth we leave behind is found in the lives we touch.

Art enriches the soul. Wisdom enriches the mind. Love enriches the heart. Character enriches a lifetime.

Walk with God, You Walk Protected.

True strength is not found in wealth, status, or proving yourself.

It is found in choosing truth over deception, humility over pride, forgiveness over revenge, gratitude over envy, and integrity over temporary gain.

Not everyone will understand your journey. Some people may judge, gossip, or try to dim your light because of the battles within themselves.

But never forget:

The fire is not another person.
The fire is God’s truth.

As a Marriage & Relationship Counselor, I have learned that healing begins the moment we stop blaming others and begin taking responsibility for our own lives. Accountability is not punishment—it is the doorway to freedom.

Pray for those who hurt you, forgive them, protect your peace, and continue walking in truth.

The world may reward appearances for a season, but God honors character.

“For the Lord watches over the way of the righteous…” — Psalm 1:6

Walk faithfully. Walk humbly. Walk with God.
