Meet , an absolute inspiration in our Lingo community. Here is what Trisha shared about her Lingo experience:

"As a 45-year-old makeup artist navigating perimenopause, I was doing everything right — fasting, protein, supplements, workouts — and the scale wasn’t moving. I was frustrated and honestly starting to doubt myself. Then my Lingo glucose data told me a different story. My glucose was stabilizing. My spikes were getting smaller. My body WAS responding — I just couldn’t see it on the scale. Lingo gave me the proof I needed to keep going. For women in their 40s feeling like nothing is working — track more than your weight. The data doesn’t lie."

Thanks for sharing your story, Trisha 💙 and continuing to motivate us and others.

Happy pumpkin season! 🎃 Did you know pumpkin is packed with fiber, vitamin A, antioxidants, but not a lot of sugar and carbs?

But pumpkin-flavored and pumpkin spice treats? That's where things can get tricky especially when managing pre-diabetes.

For all the cozy fall flavors without the glucose spike, try:
-Roasted plain pumpkin
-Unsweetened pumpkin soup
-Unsweetened pumpkin puree in your unsweetened Greek yogurt

📌 Save this post for your next pumpkin craving.

Meet Raj, whose personal journey managing prediabetes has shaped how he thinks about empowering others through the technology he helps develop at Abbott.

After learning he had prediabetes through routine health screenings and knowing he was at higher risk due to family history, Raj became determined to better understand his glucose. With Lingo, he gained insights into how food, exercise, and daily habits impact his glucose, helping him take a more proactive approach to managing his health.

Tell us about your prediabetes journey. "Diabetes runs strongly in my family, and as a South Asian, I was already aware that I had a higher risk of developing prediabetes. Earlier in my career as a consultant, I traveled across time zones, which often meant irregular schedules, restaurant meals, and limited opportunities to maintain healthy habits. My annual health checkups began showing elevated glucose levels, and eventually, my doctor diagnosed me with prediabetes."

After finding out you had prediabetes, what did you do to help manage it? "I started using a traditional finger prick glucose meter to understand my glucose. While it gave me useful insights, I quickly realized its limitations. With Lingo, I can see my glucose data in real-time which allows me to see how my body responds to food, exercise, sleep, and other behaviors. This enabled me to experiment with different lifestyle choices, understand what works best for my body, and make informed decisions about nutrition and exercise. It reinforced healthy habits such as staying active, being mindful of food choices, and avoiding added sugars. Most importantly, Lingo helped me take a proactive approach to my metabolic health, and over time, those behavior changes contributed to lowering my average glucose and improving my overall health.

Thank you for sharing your prediabetes journey, Raj. We're proud to have you on the Abbott team and grateful for the impact you're making through your work on Lingo.

As estrogen levels decline during menopause, the way your body manages glucose changes. Noticing shifts in energy, mood, focus and sleep? (1-5)

The good news? These simple habits can help:

🥚 Prioritize protein.
Get 25–30g of protein per meal. Protein stimulates muscle growth which is important as we get older. (6)

🏋️‍♀️ Keep moving.
Aim for at least 150 minutes of moderate activity each week and add strength training twice a week to help support muscle, metabolism, and glucose health.(7,8)

😴 Get your Z’s.
Try for 7-8 hours of quality sleep every night. Poor sleep can impact not only weight, but also your glucose, metabolic health and overall mood and energy. (9,10)

Just after a few days of wearing a Lingo CGM, owner of Superior Health Apparel found seeing his real-glucose data in the Lingo app incredibly insightful. He started learning how individualized diet and lifestyle can be and figured out when his body needed more nourishment to help with glucose dips that happened through the night.
