This year, Rapid Care Family Medical proudly celebrates 30 years of serving the families of our community!

From checkups and stitches… to flu seasons, broken bones, babies growing up, and generations of families walking through our doors — we have been honored to care for you through life’s biggest and smallest moments. ❤️

A few fun facts from the year we began:

📼 In 1996…

* People were renting movies from Blockbuster
* Cell phones had antennas
* “Friends” was one of the hottest shows on TV
* Gas was around $1 a gallon
* We survived dial-up internet noises 😅
* And Rapid Care Family Medical opened its doors with one mission:
to care for people like family.

Thirty years later, that mission has never changed.

We want to say THANK YOU to:
🏥 Our incredible providers and staff — past and present
❤️ Every patient who trusted us with their care
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 The families who have supported us for generations
🙏 And this amazing community that helped us grow for 30 wonderful years

To our team:
Thank you for the long hours, compassion, laughter, dedication, and heart you pour into serving others every single day. Rapid Care would not be what it is without each of you.

To our patients:
Thank you for allowing us to walk beside you through sickness, healing, celebrations, hardships, and milestones. Many of you feel more like family than patients — and that is the greatest blessing of all.

Here’s to 30 years of memories… and many more to come. 🩺🎉

Fibromyalgia is a chronic pain condition that affects the way the nervous system processes pain. It can cause widespread body pain, deep fatigue, sleep problems, brain fog, headaches, mood changes, and sensitivity to touch, light, sound, or temperature. It is often called an invisible illness because a person may look fine on the outside while hurting badly on the inside.

It is real. It is not “just stress,” “just being tired,” or “all in someone’s head.” Mayo Clinic notes that fibromyalgia has no cure, but symptoms can often be managed with a combination of treatment, movement/exercise, therapy, stress reduction, sleep support, and sometimes medication.

Last food drive for the school year happening now!
Many of these kids will be home while parents are working so ideally we would like to have some easy kits and snacks for them to have available during the day - think chips, cereal, snack bars, ramen, ravioli, capri suns, sports drinks, etc.
We have 10 families signed up at this time, and plan to deliver the kits the second week of June, with the possibility of a second round going out the second week of July.
*Additional resources are available through the local school's lunchrooms which will provide free lunch meals during the day to school age children that have rides available as well as the local food banks and Alabama Sun Bucks being distributed to those that qualify.
Food drop offs will take place starting today until May 22nd.
Sponsoring a family with 2 weeks worth of snacks/meals is $200.
If this is as successful as our holiday drive was (and because I'm what feels like 59 weeks pregnant), we will likely need help packing and delivering boxes when the time comes.
Please share!

May is Mental Health Awareness Month 💚

At Rapid Care Family Medical, we believe mental health is just as important as physical health. Anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, and emotional struggles are real—and help is available.

This month, let’s break the stigma, choose compassion, and remind one another that asking for help is a sign of strength.

💚 You are not alone.
💚 Healing is possible.
💚 Your story matters.

If you or someone you love is struggling, reach out. Support can make all the difference.
