Meet Amanda Rose, LMHC

Amanda is now accepting new clients at Land of Mañana Counseling! She works with individuals and families ages 5+, specializing in children, teens, and young adults, particularly those navigating emotional regulation, anxiety, life transitions, trauma, attachment concerns, and self-esteem.

Amanda brings a warm, creative, and down-to-earth approach to therapy, incorporating play therapy, art and creative expression, somatic strategies, IFS-informed techniques, CBT/DBT, attachment work, and trauma-informed care. She especially enjoys using creativity, curiosity, and connection to help younger clients feel comfortable opening up and expressing themselves in ways that feel natural to them.

📣New free resource for MI learners!

Anyone who has trained with me knows that I love using myth, metaphor, storytelling, and memorable characters to bring Motivational Interviewing to life.

I’ve collaborated with fellow MINT member Sky Kershner, who shares that passion, and this September we’re inviting you to join us for "Myth Month". Throughout September, a free AI-based MI practice tool will give you a new character each day caught in a moment of genuine ambivalence — drawn from mythology, literature, film, and popular culture. You’ll have a chance to practice your MI skills and will receive real-time feedback on your responses! Also sharing a flyer for my free MI lunch and learn - happening this week!
